I'm not TTC yet but I wonder if charting during a TTW is helpful or not. Unnecessary stress?

Yes. And I'm glad I did. It pointed out a low progesterone issue because my temps didn't stay up
Plus, once you leRn your temp pattern, it can help clue in when AF is showing up

I think it was definitely worth doing for a while. I charted for 6 months, the whole cycle each time, and it gives you good information about what you body is doing. I did however find that it caused a lot of stress during the TWW in the last few months so this month, I am not charting. I already know what my body does and am using OPKs. It has been decidedly less stressful.

I did, and it usually gave an indication of what was to come. My TWW chart looked significantly different in my bfp cycle which prompted me to test. As soon as I got my bfp (8dpo) I stopped temping. In other cycles, I didn't bother testing at all because my chart showed that AF was coming. That said, temping in the TWW isn't going to change anything, it might just give you a heads up. You will learn what works for you and what causes stress. For example, I have LONG cycles (sometimes 50 days) so after a while I stopped temping for the first 2 weeks of my cycle because it was just stressful and pointless for me.

I am doing this right now and it's driving me insane. That being said, it's my first month and I'm still learning the ropes.

I do, because it's part of my routine and if I stop, I'm afraid I'll mess up when I start dr the new cycle. It took me a few weeks to get it incorporated into my wake up routine!

Unnecessary stress, for me. But I had done it for a few months, and knew I didn't have any issues or fertility problems. If i ever chart again I won't chart during the TWW!

I always did because I preferred to have my chart tell me AF was coming than to see BFNs. Plus both my BFP charts were triphasic, so seeing those temps go up in the TWW was very exciting!

I absolutely charted all month long. I don't think it'd have been worth not getting the full months worth of information. But that is coming from someone who would be stressed NOT to temp & chart.

Yup, I got a little lazy on the weekends, but I tried to keep up with it to know if/when I should expect AF.

I didn't with either of my pregnancies. I figured I would if I had trouble conceiving, but I didn't. With my second, I did use digital OPKs to make sure the timing was right.

I'm finding charting during TWW less stressful than before when I was constantly anticipating O. There's no "We need to have sex NOW" - That phase is over. All the TWW is telling me is how long my LP is and if I'm either getting a BFP or AF.
