I have one family that hasn't RSVP'ed yay or nay yet for LO's birthday party in 6 days. They've had the invite for 3 weeks. Would you ask them or just leave it?

Unless you are doing a plated meal that you have to know and exact head count for I would just leave it and assume they aren't coming. If they did show up and I was unprepared (short a goodie bag or something) I wouldn't feel bad at all telling them we did not expect them since they never replied. I can be a B like that.

@MamaMoose: yes, i was more concerned about the goodie bag since i will be short. hehe. i can be a B for sure!!!

@Andrea: we're going through the same thing for lo's naming next week. I sent our Facebook invites to people I know check it regularly. How hard is it to click yes or no?!

@artbee: seriously! there is easier way than that if it is on FB!!

I hate when people don't RSVP! I would chase them down.

@Andrea: and there's even a maybe option for if they don't know.

@Andrea: I know my shower hostess had to hunt down a lot of people. They went to Fb and sent messages there.

@Andrea: ultimately, I'm a fan of @MamaMoose's plan so I say go for it.

@mediagirl: yesssss! watch, i'll be thinking about it all week and then they won't even show up. but then i am also thinking about the kiddies showing up and not having goodie bags all b/c their mama did not respond.

@Andrea: are the goodie bags expensive? Can you keep an extra on hand just in case and use it for your LO later if they don't show?
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
@mediagirl: no, they are about $8 each and they have two kids --but the real issue is that i have to go to Target, which will take me over an hour roundtrip, just to get those extra goodie bags -- just in case. sigh! decisions, decisions!
GOLD / wonderful grape / 20289 posts
@Andrea: my only issue with that is I'd hate to punish a kid for their parents mistake. But an hour for target, that's a lot! Is there any closer store you can go to and pick up a backup? You could tell them you didn't know they were coming so you didn't have enough, but wanted them to get a treat too.

I would ask, I like knowing head count regardless.

@artbee: only target sells all the stuff I want but I could give them something different.....
