Chasing RSVPS is my least favorite part of party planning. We are ordering food so I want to have the right amount!

@ValentineMommy: I don't mind texting people the day the RSVP is due for a yes or no answer but one friend wants to know specifics about who is attending before she decides....and she says she will get back to me soon. lol!

Depends on the event and what the food situation is. If it's just a birthday party and I'm preparing the meal or picking up catered food then I don't chase RSVPs. If it's a more formal event held at a location other than a house and the food has to be ordered according to how many people are attending then I do chase RSVPs. Though I usually don't have to worry about my side, it's always people on DH's side that never RSVP.

@Mamaof2: yeah, I think I'm going to stop and just make a few extra favor bags!

Depends on how extensive the prep requirements are. Not RSVPingrealy annoys me though. And if someone on my list was being as persnickety as the friend who wants to know who else is coming before deciding, they might not get an invite from me next time! C'mon, I understand why s/he wants to know, but at least be discreet about it, right?!

@autumnlove: seriously?? I would tell her whoever she doesn't want attenting, is attending. Holy difficult!!

@anonysquire: only 1/3 of her friends is attending so I think her answer is gonna be no!

@autumnlove: well how inconvenient that she doesn't get to choose the guest list at a party that isn't hers Geez!

Yes and I hate doing it. I think it's so rude that people can't take 2 minutes to respond.

Not usually, I take the lack of response as a no and make a few extra favor bags in case anyone shows up. And I always overbuy on food/drinks anyway so I don't worry that we won't have enough with extra people.

No...unless I know that person is usually slow to respond, then I might chase. Everyone else I just assume they are not coming.
