I'm sad when I hear other people talk about their baby STTN. Or Even ST (half the) N haha! I feel like we will never get there.

I definitely used to, but not nearly as much anymore. I've just learned (the hard way) that every child is just so unique and develops at such different rates. I really try to put my blinders on when I see other children and try to enjoy my kids as they are. It's definitely hard at times, but I do my best.

I compare myself to other parents, more. Like if a toddler is doing something my LO isn't, I think, 'Oh, that mom must work on that skill and I barely get her fed and in bed after work. I need to try harder!' blah, blah, blah.

Yep. I think that it is only natural. I try and not though.

Oh yeah. Some of the summer babies are rolling over and have teef (!!), and have nap schedules... so yeah, there's definitely that voice in my head wondering if she's doing ok. She's a happy, healthy baby, but I wonder a lot if I'm doing enough to help her develop.

I get together with a group of moms about once a week, and we all have babies born within four weeks of one another. I do take notice of size, and accomplished milestones, but not in a particularly frantic way. I think it's only natural to compare and contrast a bit, especially as first time parents.

@Bookish: DD rolls, but has zero teeth, and isn't really interested in grabbing toys, yet. But, she's a healthy, laughing, interactive goon, so I try to remind myself that she'll get there. You're doing just fine, mama.

I compare DS to the other August babies as a benchmark, but he was born super early so I just take it with a grain of salt. I haven't freaked out yet that he hasn't done xyz.
