My mom prepared a veggie side dish she called succotash. It had lima beans and corn. She grew up in the North, but has Carolina roots.

We always called it succotash when we mixed lima beans and corn, but it was just like two bags of frozen veggies, no special spices or anything in our house

Sucatash is Lima beans & corn. My grandma always made it with ham hock, salt, & pepper and cooked all day. I just make it with frozen corn & Lima beans!
