I cut Charlie's hair for the first time last weekend, and it wasn't that bad! I literally just sprayed it wet and randomly cut it using hair cutting scissors (I couldn't find the right comb).
I never thought I would cut my kids' hair, but that experience makes me want to learn by watching youtube videos and cut Charlie's hair from now on. Maybe once in a while he gets it cut so he has a nice shape, and then I maintain it.
Do you or will you cut your LO's hair?

I'm terrible at cutting hair - I won't even cut/trim my own bangs!

I think I would mess up her bangs. Those need to be precise! My friend cuts her DD's hair and the bangs are always crooked and me no likey.

Oh boy... yes, we have cut his hair twice now, and it looks horrible. I've been meaning to bring him to Kids Kuts, but I keep procrastinating. He also has some really awesome hair in the front that I'm afraid they would mess up.

I did for a year b/c I couldn't find ANYONE to cut DS's hair right. I figured if it was going to end up messed up atleast I didn't have to pay for it! lol I didn't do too bad, BUT it did take me a REALLY long time and poor DS being a 6 y/o boy went nuts every time. Lol.
We finally found someone that does both DH and DS's hair really great so he goes to her now.

I cut my LO's hair all the time. I actually started cutting my husband's hair about 5 years ago. I kept having to fix his haircuts after he got it professionally cut so one day I jokingly said that he should just pay me to cut his hair. Of course, he doesn't pay me but I do cut his hair now - he gets compliments on it all the time. BTW, I learned how by watching youtube videos also
