This year, I put a handful of candies in a ziplock bag with a note that says, "Best Homemade Halloween Costume!" Then on the other side, I wrote little things like, "Keep up the good work, can't wait to see what you are next year!" and "Nicely done! We love your costume and the effort you put into it!"

We have three of these bags that I'm going to give out to kids in homemade costumes. They're not fancy and they're not Pinterest-worthy but it's something fun for my husband and me to do. We love seeing all of the kids on Halloween so we wanted to do something a little extra special for the kids (or parents) who put in that little extra effort.
