I try not to but I had to for our wedding. My MIL was one of our vendors and it was a stressful experience!
Do you do business with family?

Hmm no? I don't think I have ever come into this situation with family. The only thing I can think of for the future is my Aunt and Uncle own an arcade vending company and they sell pool tables, dart boards, etc. So if we ever decide we want one, we will probably by one from them!

Both DH and I come from dads who owned their own businesses so we have always helped them with stuff related to their companies.

I work with my husband at his business and we love it, but both my parents and his parents worked together too, so maybe that's why it is normal to us.

DH and I both work for my parents. So on a daily basis I work with Mom, Dad, and DH. My uncle used to work here, so I saw him & my cousin everyday for a while too.
My other uncle is about to drywall the house DH and I just bought.

I WISH DH didn't work here though- to be honest. I saw this business tear my parents marriage up and I feel the same feelings when I talk to DH about work. (He complains about his "bosses"..aka my parents) and it's so hard to avoid it. I LOVE working for my mom though, she's so lenient. -
I bought my life insurance plan from my dad. Other than that I try not to do business with family. This has kind of been a sore spot with my grandfather because my mom, sister, and I don't want to be part of his businesses. He doesn't understand why we don't want to be involved (a lot of them seem like pyramid schemes) and takes it personally.

I've never been in that situation. I do volunteer things for my family and for DH's.
