I had wanted to, I'd seen so many cute things on pinterest while I was pregnant, but never jumped the gun and planned what I'd do.
He is 3 months old tomorrow!
I still take pictures each month though.

DS wears a white onesie with the appropriate month's sticker. I sit him in the rocker in his room and take a bunch of pictures so I have options. Most recently, I took his 8 month pictures and he is so fast and squirmy now! I worked up a sweat! Sometimes, I give him a toy to distract him for a few pictures but that's about it.

We did the white onesie with a monthly sticker and ours was in the shape of a tie.

No, but I wish I would have. I take pictures daily so I have plenty, but I'd still like the ones showing how old she is.

I like the pictures where you see the lo wearing the same sleeper (not footed sleeper) for 12 months. At the beginning, they're swimming in it. At the end, they've busted out.

I wish I had started the onesie pictures but I just take his picture on the same blanket to see how big he's grown from one month to the next. Mine will be 3 months on Saturday too!

I'm thinking both the monthly sticker idea, and then do the "big" onsie quartely and make a collage out of it to hang on the wall. I think that would be cute!

When I worked at a bakery a woman would come in and get a half dozen cupcakes with her son's name and the number of months. It would have been cute, except she would never order any in advance and expect us all to drop what we're doing to accomodate her.

I did up to 9 months with Mavrick, and if my camera wasn't broken, I would do the same with Sienna. Unfortunately we don't have the budget to buy a camera. I don't think my iPhone is great enough.

@blushink: any pictures are better than no pictures! I think it's sad that photography was lost in the 80's when I was a baby. I don't have hardly any pictures of myself as a baby! That's definitely a blessing for this new generation of babies - there will be millions of pictures!!

@Mrs. Cat in the Cradle: That's a super cute idea! Too bad about that lady, though.

@Coco Bee: luckily my mom was a camera pimp. She took pictures of us (even if she was intense) we (my sister and I) both had 2 big albums filled with pics from 0-3 years. I unfortunately can't find one. I'm hoping they are in a box somewhere in my basement.

As for ideas for monthly pics.
- onesie (numbered)
- numbered blocks
- having a stuffed animal next to baby
- Balloons
- baby in a laundry basket
- Cupcakes (though come 12 months... you will have eaten 78 cupcakes!)

@Boogs: I don't know what her deal was. Super easy to order, and she wouldn't have to wait!

We have baby S in the same Carter's sleeper with a stuffed elephant each month. I bought all the sizes of the sleeper and swap them out when he gets too big.
I wish I had started taking the photos in his nursery instead of the living room because the light is better there. In my exhaustion I didn't think of it when he was a month old.

My ILs got baby a rocking chair that they personalized so she'll be sitting in that. I love having a constant object in the picture so you can really see how they grow!
I plan to put her in a pretty outfit. I also will be using Melissa & Doug wooden blocks to spell her name and what month. My cousin in law also got her stickie bellies!
Can't wait for her first month pic on Monday! I did one when she was 1 week as well.
