I can't really, since my job definitely requires that I be on-site.
I usually try not to check my work email at home either, but sometimes I do if I need to touch base with my supervisor on something.
do you do work at home?

yep, i am right now!
i work from home thurs/fris and any other day that is an emergency. my job is very flexible that way!
i'm a project manager/consultant, so as long as i have a phone and my laptop/internet -- i can do work!
edit:// those are strictly between the hours of 9-5. m-w when im in the office i leave my laptop at work, so that i dont bring it home with me. on th/fr my hours may vary a lil bit but that's because i pick and choose what time of day or around errands that i work.
the ONLY times i work at home outside of normal hours is if and when i'm on a huge global project and have to cater to apac/emea time zones!

haha, i was just getting my citrix token tested in case I have to work from home on Monday. It allows me access to my full desktop at the office.
I could, but I already work in a remote location 3 days a week and I try not to abuse it.

If it's on the computer I remote into my work desktop via Log Me In. But if I have to put in extra or make up hours I prefer to bring home drawings / trace. Something that doesn't require me to be on the computer.

Never! Except sometimes to check e-mails if I REALLY need to. But that's pretty much the only work-related thing I can do at home.

I'm working from home right now because i have to take LO to get her shots later this afternoon.
I'll be flying back home this summer and can extend my visit by a week without taking extra vacation days because i can work from my laptop (i have a phone built in to my laptop).

Right now, it's one day a week. It's the day that I usually do laundry and some house cleaning. I'm hoping to bump it up to 2 or even 3 if necessary. It's hard to plan for that many days home because I have to balance my DH's work from home days as well.

Hell to the nah! I literally purge the entire day from my brain as I drive home.

I work from home a couple of times a week. You can tell when I'm working from home because I'm on here all day. Oops.

Yep. I'm in sales, so majority of the day is at home, but then it's my clients offices or driving to them.
I go into our office about 70km away just on Friday mornings.
ETA: my hours are 830am-5pm, but I usually am done work before that and don't start util about 9am since none of my clients are even open until 10am.
If I get a call/email on evenings weekends I almost always answer.. could be a sale and I gotta get paid!

I hate working from home because I can't focus on work when my house is all around me with things to do! laundry! cleaning! cooking! organization! gahhh. But every now and then I'll do a few hours from home.

@Mrs. Champagne: what type of sales? I worked in retail before and realized I would not like working in sales!

@Mrs. Pen: advertising. i sell radio ads! literally selling air to people

@mrs. wagon: I suffer from the same problem. If I'm home, I want to clean and organize. I space out my cleaning, etc. throughout the day. I had a headache yesterday while working from home, so I wasn't able to make a Target trip. I don't think that our condo would be remotely clean if it wasn't for that one day a week where I can at least attempt it.

I work at home 3x a week, but my office is only 10-minutes away. The WAH days much less stressful because not showering and getting ready in the morning makes such a huge difference.

I work from home 3 days a week. once i'm done working, I don't even think about turning my computer back on!

I can work from home occasionally, but I don't do it regularly. I really like having the flexibility that if something comes up, I can stay home.

I work from home full time now as a consultant. Really, I work at home some days, coffee shops other days. I can work anywhere that I can get internet access!

I work from home since my company doesn't have offices in every state. So yep, I guess I do! It's nice because if I have a work issue I can easily "stay late"- start dinner or take out the pugs then go right back to my desk. I do ALWAYS leave my work phone in my office, I don't go in there off-hours unless I realize I forgot something or I'm working on an issue. I'm salaried so going above and beyond if I have to is part of my job! But usually it's 8-5 for me
