P wears a lot of girl pants, they just fit him better and arent baggy. haha you cant tell though.
if we have a girl, she will def rock P's hand me downs and i will add girly pieces to mix it up.
i do think its easier for girls to wear boys clothing then vice versa.

Awww, he looks adorable! I don't have a LO yet, but I think I'd be fine using clothing for both sexes. When I was a baby my mom got a bunch of hand-me-downs from a friend who had a boy. I'd be dressed in red overalls with a truck on them and people would say, "Hello, little man!" Lol, but she didn't even bother to correct them. I say, if it's cute, go for it!

Would have never guessed those were girl pants! I TRY and look in boys section but it will probably easier to do that as she gets older. I've gotten a coue of boys onesies for K.
I can imagine using her jegging leggings on an infant boy. And I'll buy classics both can wear as she gets older (striped tees, solid jeans, sweatshirts, etc)

We have some items from the boys section that I thought were cute. They're very gender neutral, I think - like whales and guitars and things. The Gap has some cute boy stuff that I like. I was looking for a terrycloth hat for summer and could only find one that was for boys. It's a bright green - love that color!

Both my girls rock boy's cargo pants from time to time under a tea collection dress (most typical) or top (on occasion). They are comfy! And boy's graphic tees from time to time. Ellie looks AWESOME dressed in boy's clothes! I'll have to post a picture some time when I can find one.

I've put my DS in some of DD's sleepers and etc. Don't really plan on putting him in girl clothes when he gets older. Ditto for my dD

YEP! I'm starting to look for more & more things like shoes, solid/patterned shirts, & I'm on the look out for some more neutral leggings!
Here are a few of my favorite outfits she's rocked boy clothes in!
She also has a plain blue button up she's worn as a dress belted with a cardi, a grey sweat shirt she's worn with leggings, OH and a blue stripped cardi that is my FAVORITE.. I"ll have to track down a pic!
Found it & the one she wore her boy sweatshirt (it was her V-day outfit around the house)

I haven't been so successful in finding clothes for a boy in the girl section, but if I have a daughter I will have her in quite a number of J's clothes. So many of his jeans, sweaters and tees are easily gender neutral. I think it's easier to dress a girl in boy clothes and still keep them feminine.

DS wears some of DD's hand-me-downs. He was wearing her hat today at the park. We do buy boy clothes for DD on occasion, as well, which we'll eventually pass down to DS.

Yes. I always try to buy her boy shoes so we can use the hand me downs no matter what. One of her favorite shirts is a boy's shirt with Elmo on it, and she has some other boy clothes too. I just stick a bow on her and call it a day

LO has a bunch of comic book character shirts, which are always in the boys department at stores. What can I say; my girl loves Captain America and she rocks those shirts!!

On a slightly different note, we were at a play date the other day and there was a child there (not our group), who was wearing a mix of clothes and I had no idea if it was a boy or girl. The child had a short boy haircut, a more masculine face (FWIW, at 2-3years), red glasses, a purple mini mouse tee and boy style shoes. I honestly couldn't figure it out and I felt slightly strange telling DS "share with the little boy" when I didn't know.
In theory I have no problem with kids wearing clothes meant for the opposite sex. DS wears girl leggings sometimes. But with this situation, I felt really awkward. With the pics everyone has posted, you can still tell what sex the child is.

I only have girl stuff, cause I sold off DS's stuff a long time ago.
But, if we have a boy, (and DH and I are about 90% that'll happen, since we have a boat load of unused girl stuff), I'll try to be as creative I can with what we have.

@runsyellowlites: I plan to use all of J's cardigans, plaid tops, some graphic tees, chambray and boy jeans if I ever have a girl! I think it's so easy to still make it girly - slap on a headband and you're pretty much set

No, I have only boy stuff or things that were unisex when LO was small.
I think girls can get away with boy stuff, but with boys, it's more difficult, especially with the prints/patterns.
