My family has always been very lax with alcohol, partly because it's cultural. I definitely used to drink with my dad and brother ( my mom doesn't drink), but since I've been pregnant or breast feeding the past 4 years it's been a while. It'll be cool to enjoy a glass of wine with Charlie and Olive one day.

My mom doesn't drink, but I've had a drink with my dad once or twice. They're not big drinkers, though, so it doesn't happen often.

My parents are drinkers, and when we get together, it's always a booze fest:) They are coming in for Harper's birth, and I'm sure that it will be really toned-down for me, but I'll still end up having a drink or two with them here and there!

yep! and DHs family because we are all close.. we go away together for a week in the summer and lots of drinks are consumed!

Yep, my parents are partiers! lol! My dad parties harder than DH and I put together. I've been a pretty low consumer since getting pregnant/nursing but we start Christmas morning with mimosa in my family

Yes, for sure. My parents are beer types, and the customary bloody mary on Christmas morning. DHs parents always have wine available. Since I have been pregnant or nursing for over a year it's been a while (but I have had a single glass of wine).

It's pretty common for us. I was glad I didn't live near them when I got pregnant because they totally would have wondered what was up.

Yup. My dad doesn't drink any more as he has a heart condition that gets aggravated by alcohol. But mom and I will drink wine together. My in laws drink a lot. I actually tend to drink less around them because I feel like they drink too much.

My parents rarely drink and neither do I. Occasionally at a wedding my mom and I will order some sort of pretty, girly drink. But neither of us will finish it.

The women in my family and DH's family aren't huge drinkers - but the men are a little more into it. (Some A LOT more than others)
