Not yet but we are in the market for one this year so I will be following to see what others say!

I have a Toyota 4Runner with jump seats (optional third row) in the back (using those it seats 7); we've only used them once. I love the 4Runner though; great in snow and nasty weather!

'06 Honda Odyssey Touring, I don't like that the only av input jack is in the backseat (weird), but the cord reaches up to the front seat. We got a really good deal on it. I like my odyssey - I drove a Town & Country about a month ago and haaaaated it.

@Beyond2: we're thinking about getting a 7 seater SUV too. So far, we like the Santa Fe and the Highlander best, both of them fully loaded. We've just started test driving in stuff. But I haven't owned either one, so I can't really tell you things I hate!

XC90. I like that the third row folds down all the way flat but when put up they are actually pretty comfortable seats (and has features like cup holders, speakers, vents, and cubbies for the 3rd row).

@Andrea: Do you find that it's almost too big? Just wondering, it's a while until our lease is up but I was thinking about the GL (or X5) for our next car. I'm slightly concerned if its size makes it tough to parallel park or fit into narrow spots.

We have an Acura MDX that has a 3rd row--with that it fits 7-8. We like it a lot!

@betsyboop: we live in the burbs so it has been fine. When we go into the city, we park in a garage!

I drive an Audi Q7 which seats 7. We occasionally squeeze 6 or 7 in it, but generally the most we do is 4 or 5 adults plus the dog in the third row of seats. The third row of seats is really not comfortable to climb in and out of, or to sit in, for a full-sized adult. However, we never intended to use it for 7 adults, so it still fits our needs. We'll see if that's still the case when the babies come this spring... (I think we'll eventually need a mini-van but my husband is really resisting that idea!).

I have a '13 Ford Explorer. With the third row up, it seats 7. But, it can be a pain to get people in and out of the third row.
My friend has a '14 Ford Explorer and she opted for bucket seats in the second row, which makes it easier to get to the third row, but that way it only seats 6.

2012 GMC Acadia that fits 7. We love it! I didn't want something too bulky and preferred that it drive like a car versus truck. We have bucket seats so it's not too bad getting to the 3rd row.

I have the 14 Kia sorento with optional 3rd row. I love it! With the 3rd row up I loose a lot of trunk space, but we rarely use it.

Honda odyssey 2012. We love it. It has room for grandparents, which was a big criteria. It also has all the bells and whistles like DVD player but we haven't let the kiddos in on that secret yet. Plane tix for a whole family are $$ and we plan to do more Road trips .. Downside is that it's a major gas guzzler. Way more loves than hates for this car.

@dagret: @T-Mom: The Odyssey is on my wish list, now. I saw the ad on tv with the built in vacuum and now I'm wishing I could afford a new one!

2009 Toyota Sequoia.
Love it, albeit it's a HUGE SUV. The back two rows lay flat, but also the backs can be reclined which is great for road trips. The middle row can slide forward or backwards to give the back row more leg room.

@Dandelion: seriously me too! I rolled my eyes when the vacuum became a feature but my minivan floors are covered in sand after we took it to the beach over the holidays.. Really want that vacuum now!

@T-Mom: I have 2 dogs, plus the 6 year old and about to have another boy. That vacuum looks like a dream!

@Alivoo01: We are looking into this for our next car. I drive an Outback now though so I'm nervous it might be too big...

We love love our 2013 Nissan pathfinder . We were tryig to decide between that and the highlander, but the pathfinder had much better features. I especially love that you can easily get to the third row even with car seats in the 2nd.

We have a Mazda CX-9. SUV with a third row seat. We absolutely love it!!! It is a huge car with not great gas mileage but we love it.

We have a 2013 Honda Pilot, we debated between it and the Nissan pathfinder but it had way more leg room for the third row so that tipped the scales. We normally have the 3rd row folded flat with a dog gate most of the time but its so nice to have the option to seat 8. It gets 20-22 mpg so not great but really not horrible for something that large.

We just bought a 2011 Honda Pilot and we really like it so far. We were looking at the Infiniti QX56, Nissan Armada and Pilots, we didn't like the way the way QX56 and Armada (basically identical) drove so we went with the Pilot. When we have the step-kids we need the third row up and that makes it a little tight if we have the stroller back there, but we're going to get a storage thing for the top, plus we can tow the boat with it.

We also have an Excursion and I hate it with a passion! Love all of the room though!

We have a 2010 chevy traverse! It seats 8. I wanted one that had the three seats in the middle row, so DS could have his car seat in the middle seat. I love it.
It doesn't feel overly huge, and there's a lot of cargo room with the third row folded down.

13 Honda Pilot. Love it! We upgraded from the CRV this summer. Do we need to seat 8? Nope, but when we do its great! We used all 8 3 times over the holidays. We wanted something bigger for several reasons- 2 dogs dont fit in the back of the crv very well, pulling ability for a future trailer, and we camp in the summer and we did not fit all of our stuff for 5 days and a dog!
Love it! Can not say enough about it. Is it big, yep! Did it take some getting used to compared to my crv, yes, but I wouldnt go back. My DH drives the CRV now instead of his old car, so we still have it. When we go downtown or to high traffic places to park (parallel parking etc) we take the crv.

Just bought a Toyota Sienna AWD and we love it. We sold our Pathfinder and upgraded to get more seating. It's a boat, but it handles better than the Pathfinder and it has a ton of room.

@Alivoo01: how many rows does a sequoia have? 3? Do u like it? We are thinking of looking at one.

I drive an '04 Suburban that seats 7 and I looooooove it. I love having the third row AND plenty of space in the back (a necessity when you live 75 miles from a Walmart and a supermarket).
ETA: I've always preferred driving pickups and big vehicles- Suburban is definitely for people who don't want something big that you have to park way out in no man's land in the Target parking lot, lol.

2009 GMC Acadia that fits 7. I love everything looks way about it, but we've had a lot of issues with it compared to our previous Ford!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@bushelandapeck: It is pretty big so definitely test drive it first! I had problems seeing over the driver side mirror because it was so large, but got used to it eventually. Parking isn't a problem, but opening doors to get out while making sure you don't ding the car next to you can be difficult at times as well depending on how others park or the type of parking lot.
@tequiero21: yup! 3 rows, and they both fold down for extra cargo space. We always keep the 3rd row down though and it has a nice lil "hidden" storage in the trunk trunk part of the vehicle which I like. Like I said bushelandapeck, it drive likes a truck (shares the same chasis as the Toyota Tundra) so if you're not used to driving large vehicles, I'd test drive it for a day or two just to make sure!

We just got a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS - only had it for 2 weeks, but so far, it is AWESOME!

I had a Honda Pilot previously - seats 8 with a folddown third row - and is surprisingly quite roomy.
I just got a Toyota Highlander (seats 7 with the folddown third row) and while it feels a little smaller than the Pilot, it is actually more comfortable and drives like a dream!

Acura MDX! I look it a lot but that 3rd row is still pretty small. It could fit 2 adults in a crunch but really seems like it's for kids. I don't know of any SUVs that have truly comfortable 3rd rows and aren't ginormous.
