I hate to say it, but we eat dinner at home everyday with the TV on. It's just habitual... we used to eat at the coffee table when we lived at our previous place, but at least now we both sit at the dining table.
We don't have a LO yet, but I told DH that once we do, we'll have to turn the TV off during dinner!

We totally do -- it's our chance to watch a DVR'd show. It has to stop once the baby starts eating real food -- then's it at the table with no TV.

We used to, but I put an end to it last year so we only eat dinner at the dinner table. It was because I didn't want this to be a habit when we have LO so might as well start now. It's a good time for us to reconnect and catch up with each other any how.

Depends on where we eat, if we eat in the living room, then yes the TV will be on. Those are normally our quick easy dinners though like frozen pizza or mac n cheese. Otherwise we will eat at the kitchen table, and then we normally have the radio on though.

Yep! We don't always pay attention to it but it is on as background noise. Once the baby gets here and we have family dinners, it will be off.

On Fridays we have "Pizza and Movie" night so we pcinic in the living room and watch a show (usually an epsidoe of Blues Clues or Sesame Street). Otherwise, we almost never have the tv on while the kids are awake.

No way!
We have a pretty "formal" way of doing dinner. Eat at the table with a full place setting, prayer before meal, don't get up until the other is finished, etc.

We do. I know it's not the best, but what can ya do? Sometimes we do mute it though so that we can have conversation. We're at least sitting at the dining table.

We used to eat on the couch all the time in front of the TV. Now that LO is here we sit and have family dinner. The TV might be on in the background if we forget to turn it off, but for the most part that's a not.

@Mrs. Tricycle: This is my plan as well. It's going to be tough for DH to get on board with it but I really hate watching t.v. during dinner and am looking forward to sitting down at the table together.

We do... sadly.. I think it started with all the nights I spent alone while DH worked.
But now that DS is older and eats dinner, we don't as much, unless we eat after he goes to bed.

I usually eat lunch in front of the tv (if I'm home), but we usually don't watch tv at dinner.
