I used to love them when I was a teenager, now over the past year or so I get really freaked out. DH and I rented sinister and I just can't watch it, I'll probably have nightmares now

I can't handle them. I seriously get so freaked out I will cry. It's embarrassing, so I just avoid them.

@Bao: me too! I loved scary movies as a teen and in college. I started hating them when I started living on my own after college/law school. I watched a few in the past few years but ever since getting pregnant I can't even watch the commercials...I freak out and cover my ears and close my eyes.

Yes!! I loved them when I was a teen, then got too freaked out and stopped watching them for years, but 2 years ago decided to dive back in.
My husband and I do "scary movie night" every Friday night of October and it is one of my very favorite traditions!

No! I used to watch them because I was to embarrassed to tell my friends how scared I was, but they actually give me major anxiety. I get so tense and worked up I just can't even watch them now.
