This morning on the way to school, I told my son the storyline from an old comic book called "Superman vs. Muhammad Ali." He was so into it that I couldn't resist buying a reprint of the comic online! I think I'll save it for his birthday.

Yes! So far, the only one she's old enough for is the board book version of Madeline. But I'd also like to get Millions of Cats, Fly High Fly Low, and the Beatrix Potter books.

I just bought Corduroy for LO last week! It was one of the few I could remember from early childhood. I'm sure I will buy more if I recall or come across them. I can't wait to get her The Secret Garden, The Boxcar Children, and The Bobbsey Twins series for when she is older!

I love love loved all the Robert Munsch books and will be buying them for our lo. When she's older I would love to share the story of "where the red furn grows" it's an all time favorite of mine.

My stepdaughter is ten so it's been fun to introduce her to the first two books of the Anne of Green Gables series. I can't remember board or picture books that I'd like to share with my son, but so many books I look forward to my stepdaughter reading!

I'm excited to get my LOs some of my favorite holiday books - Polar Express, Jolly Christmas Postman, The Mitten, Santa Cows! My mom actually has our copy of the Jolly Christmas Postman from childhood, but all four of us kids want it so my mom is going to hang on to it because she can't choose which kid to give it to.

Yes! Corduroy,as well as lots of Clifford and Curious George. When my girls are older I can't wait to get them beautifully illustrated copies of A LIttle Princess and The Secret Garden. I love to read, always have, and hope at least one of my kids shares that with me.
I've also had some real misses - I checked out a few Babar stories at the library, bought the Madeline board book, and recieved a PD Eastman (The Best Nest, put Me in the Zoo, etc) treasury and after reading them once or twice have kind have shaken my head thinking "How are these considered such classics?" Apologies to anyone who loves them - they just sadly weren't for me (although I was initially excited about them).

Yes, apparently my favorite was "Home for a Bunny" and Dh's was "Are you my mother?" So we bought both for our baby. I'll be honest, I read through my favorite and I thought it was pretty lame lol, not sure why it was my favorite? My baby is only 6 mo so I haven't even thought about the more advanced books yet.

Yes! She had to get Hand Hand Fingers Thumb and The Foot Book because I loved them as a kid. Hehe I already look forward to reading Frog & Toad and Bunnicula with her, and then Harry Potter!

Lots of the books D has are ones that were favorites of mine as a kid - The Monster at the End of This Book; Goodnight Moon; Happy Birthday, Moon; Ferdinand the Bull. As he gets older I look forward to sharing Number the Stars, Harry Potter, and several others.
I am constantly on the search for Morris Has a Cold. My sister and I LOVED that book and it has been out of print for years.
