I haven't done this yet, by some miracle... but I often think that Charlie is calling for me, and I turn around and it's Olive!
I guess I'm not used to thinking about Olive as a smooth talker just yet... but as her talking gets better, she's fooling me now and then! I'm learning to listen more carefully and then it's easy to tell them apart...
Do you ever accidentally call one kid the other kid's name? Or accidentally referred to your LO using your dog or cat's name?

I will in just a matter of months, my dad still does all the time... and I'm very, very much like him As it is, I mix up pets and C easily enough!

Not the kids yet... But I do mix up my son and the dog! Luckily Max the dog thinks he's human and Timmy the boy doesn't mind one bit being mixed up with his furry BFF.

My LO isn't here yet but my parents used to do this to me and my siblings/cousins all the time! I remember thinking it was funny. I never took it personally.

My mom calls me Patti all the time, Patti is her sister. Ha.

Haha I did for the first time yesterday! Only because their Korean names are so similar.
Sometimes the kids sound really similar too. When one of them makes a noise at night I need to check the monitor to see which one is calling for me!

Only one kid so far.... but I will call her the dog's name, and I call the dog her cousin's name. Her cousin is Izzy and our dog is Lizzie and LO doesn't say the L in Lizzie so I accidentally repeat her.

My mom calls me by my brothers name regularly. I only have one kid, but I have called him by my husbands name, lol.

@looch: Did he mind? I would guess that most kids would take being called their parent's name as a compliment!!

Sometimes I call LO the dog's name, or the dog my brother's name! That's pretty bad! It's usually only when I'm tired or distracted

I call DS one of the pet's names all the time. I mix up the animals, too. Luckily, with the pets, I just have to call one and they all come, out of curiosity, lol.
I also get DS and my younger brother mixed up ALL the time. It's so weird! My brother is 23!
