We were still recovering from jetlag when we had the 3-day weekend, and wanted to take advantage of the unofficial kick-off to summer. So we were out pretty much all weekend at parks, playgrounds, splashpads, play dates from early morning until evening all 3 days.
Now that it's Monday, the apartment is a mess and I'm completely wiped! Phew we're going to have a more laid back weekend this weekend for sure.

Definitely! I miss him while I'm at work all week and want to take advantage of the weekend to make up for it. We went to the beach for a few days, back home to the parade, saw a band in town, did some shopping and a few dinners out.
I'm exhausted today and woke up at 4am this morning. Couldn't get back to sleep. I'm going to crash later on!

We try not to! Her weekdays are so, so long that we only do a max of 1-2 things per day on the weekend. This weekend we did absolutely nothing Sunday or Monday, which we've pretty much never done before. It was awesome! Usually I like to keep her busier than that, and her sleep/behavior was kind of "off" because we were being so low-key, but it was still worth it. Mommy and Daddy needed to recharge.

This is us almost every weekend, but we enjoy it so we just have to drink some extra caffeine on Mondays. 
I guess we'll sleep when we're dead, as they say.

We definitely do too much with LO sometimes, but luckily he still stroller naps! Yesterday was super low key and LO ended up taking 3 epic naps, so he must have been tired from Sunday.
PS... @mrs.bee You must be tired - it is Tuesday, not Monday (thankfully!)

Um yeah. And too many people handled her on Sunday at a birthday party and I am still feeling guilty that I didn't step in. I guess wouldn't say we do too much, but sometime she is exposed to too many people holding her/in her face.

I make an effort to keep weekends very unscheduled, with no more than one thing per day...we all need our down time!

Yes. I like to be engaged so we literally do everything we can! I am exhausted come Monday, but it's worth it to me. We take the weekdays easy, then pack our afternoons and weekends full.

Yes, many weekends we do too much but we try to fit in as much as possible with my husband and then we get back to normal routines during the week.

My ideal weekend is one busy/social day, and one day where we do around the house/family stuff, like ride our bikes to the park and to the grocery store. Those are my favorite weekends, but it seems like we either have too much to do or no formal plans at all. Then fall will come and we'll be busy all weekend with bike racing, which will be fun too.

Yup! We try and recover with some low key days but it's hard getting everything straightened while everyone's off schedule. But I'm not a fan of monotony so ah well.

Definitely. I reserve Mondays for quiet time. We ease back into the week by staying close to home and doing chores. We do more exciting outings the rest of the week.
