I sure do! The last 3 things I bought her (that I just *knew* she would love), she couldn't care less about.

@mrbee: I guess we need to take her on more play dates. I took her through the toy aisles while at Target this weekend and watch to see what she liked. Of course, everything she liked was expensive - haha! So now I'm looking over craigslist and local ads to see if there's some stuff we can buy 2nd hand.
I still can't believe she didn't care for the water table I got her - good thing I got it on clearance!

Oh yes, it has been total hit and miss when trying to get toys for her. I'm more sad when it's a pricey toy!
@mrbee: I actually stopped purchasing too many toys she likes at daycare because she has possession issues. She grabbed one of those push poppers from another (older!) kid at daycare because she felt it was hers.

@Freckles: Ah that's so interesting! I could totally see that happening with our kids, who get really possessive too. We decluttered and donated some toys to our daycare, and I was terrified it would be WW3 up in that joint. But I guess we picked toys they didn't really care about (phew!) and it turned out ok.

I noticed that sometimes if I reintroduce toys she didn't initially like (after a week or two), she tends to show more interest. With her Duplo, I must have put them away 4x before she started to play with them.

@SugarplumsMom: I have noticed that, too. She's finally interested in the duplo blocks and puzzles now.
@mrbee: I know!! It's still over 100 here w/ the heat index and she wants to spend lots of time outside. If I have to be in the heat, I want it to be around water
