Do you ever use that warmer drawer under the oven?

@Monkula: I can't. It's not a digital oven, it's the same knob to set the oven temp. Right after the highest oven temp, it just says broil.

@Mrs. Pen, I'd just drop the rack as far down as I could. Then you can sort-of control how much browning you get. Worth a try. I hate when it smokes or over-does it. Especially on creme brulee (yeah, cook that I am, I still haven't invested in a torch).

@Monkula: our fire alarm is crazy sensitive so that doesn't help.

@Mrs. Pen; so is ours. My DH hates me a little because I unplug it ALL the time. I just don't love having loud screeching while I cook. I'd much rather some actual music.

I always use it for storage. Is it really a warming drawer? I live in an apartment so it came with the place. Maybe I can look up the manual for it.

It would be cool if it was a warming drawer but I actually need the storage more. It will probably stay a storage drawer for me. LOL.

I believe ours is just a drawer, bummer. I told my dh that our next oven is going to be a double oven (smaller "pie" oven ontop and regular oven on the bottom) I'm terrible at timing food to be ready at the same time, this would help!!

I love love love my broiler, my oven has a high broil or low broil, I love crispy tops on dishes. I know I used love toomany times in one sentence

@Mrs. Pen: In our old house we had an oven that smoked with the broiler, it was awful, set the alarm off every time...

I just made DH go check for a button. We just moved in here, so I thought our new oven might be fancy.
No. Its just a drawer. It holds our baking sheets and pans, and that's about all. If it gets warm, its only because of proximity.
    Too bad!

I just checked for a warming button, but was disappointed not to find one Ours is just a drawer... I guess that's a good thing, it would be a pain to take everything out and put things back in just to keep something warm, haha!

In my previous rental that drawer was our broiler. In the current rental, it is just a drawer that I don't use, since the previous tenant left his/her pot lids in there, lol.
