His family is all DRAMA, OCD neat freaks, nosy, needy.(not financial, just with stuff they want done) and braggy, which is my absolute biggest pet peeve.
He is laid back, not neat, def. nosy though, and we have to DO for all the needy ones in his family, he gets braggy sometimes though. -
Yes! DH is the most non-judgmental person I know and his mother has got to be the most judgmental person I know. He's also so low key and never brags about anything ... so opposite!

so and I come from completely different cultures. All the drama and gossipping and backstabbing is "normal" to him. It bugs the heck out of me.
When he's with me, he's quiet, low key and has common sense. He definitely gets sucked into their stuff though. While I'm not gonna share any personal details, I feel like his family is one big telenovela. It's hard to keep track of who we are not supposed to be talking to this week.

Yep. DH's family is so messed up. His parents had a nasty divorce when DH was really young, and they dragged him through so much drama as a kid. It makes me so sad hearing a lot of his stories about his family from childhood... and yet he's such a wonderfully normal and caring man!

its the opposite with us. My family is awesomely NICE and quiet and calm.....and wholesome. And then there's me....mouth like a sailor, center of attention, loud....
DH always asks me if my family is my biological family or if i'm pullin his leg;) -
Actually, my husband is not laid back, though he comes across laid back to everyone else. He very much takes after his mom who's always on edge.

Oh dear, yes! His fam is a mess! I feel like my dh is the parent to his mom and dad most of the time. I think that it's been that way most of his life, he had to grow up fast! They always have crazy drama!

Actually, DH and I had this discussion the other day but about me! We are surprised how normal I ended up considering how much of a drama queen my mom is!

I always tell him that I'm glad he doesn't drink and get loud like some of his family, lol.
I'll bet it drives him crazy how in some ways I'm like my family.

Every day. Hubs is so normal and drama-free and laid-back. His family is totally nuts and kind of white-trash (he'll admit the same thing). I don't know how he turned out so well, but thank goodness!
