I am sitting here half falling asleep but it isn't even 9:45pm yet. I really want to go to bed right now, and have been debating it for the past hour but I feel lame. I guess this is what being a parent does to you.

Nope. I'm totally down with my lameness. I go to bed so early, I don't care.

Pre baby I would have felt lame. Post baby I feel accomplished and lucky to be able to sleep early on any day!

Not at all. I feel lame when I stay up late for no reason!!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22276 posts
Haha ok I need to get over the lameness then and just accept the fact that I'm tired and go to sleep

No, I don't. But I also don't consider going to bed at 9:45 late, I consider that early! Haha. We go to bed at nine on a typical night and try to stay up until 9:30 one night during the weekend.

I often am in bed at 9 or 930 on weekends. I don't care. I'm usually awake by 6 or 7, too. After all, they say it's healthier to maintain a schedule similar to your week schedule

We don't have kids and I am usually in bed by 9 on the weekends...weekdays too if that matters any.

No...I don't feel lame. I love sleeping early because I know my DS will wake me up early.
I remember often staying up late on Friday night and weekends before having kids, but right now, sleep is precious time.

I don't even have kids and I'd love to go to bed early! Dh keeps me awake longer than I want. he only needs like 7 hrs and I need more like 8-9.

Nope, if I'm tired then I go to sleep! Most of my days just merge together so it never matters if it's the weekend or not! I'm usually alseep by 9.30 most nights.
pomegranate / 3604 posts
Sometimes, but it's more of a desire to spend some time with DH. I feel lame if I'm too tired to do that.
grapefruit / 4582 posts
Nope! Not at all lol but I DID go out for my first girls night since LO (leaving dd with DH) and I didn't come home until 2 am! It was awesome. Dinner and dancing. I finally felt like a woman again
cantaloupe / 6610 posts
Omg no...BC that would mean my little party animal decided to go to bed before 1130, so I'd be stoked to have an early bedtime!
honeydew / 7687 posts
No way sleep = bliss! I was a home body pre baby but still a night owl but he's cured me of that!
cantaloupe / 6397 posts
Nope! I don't have a LO yet either. I went to bed at 9 last night! It was amazing.

No. I have to be home be los bedtime anyway, and I'm tired!

Ahh this thread makes me happy to know how not-lame I am. In the world of parents, anyways!

Nope...I've been going to bed early for years, now...I've since shed the lame feeling, lol. DH still feels lame about it sometimes, but we get up early, thanks to ds and the cats (and during the week for work), so our body clocks just are set this way, now.

I've always been a morning person so going to bed early on weekends never bothered me.

I pretty much always go to bed around 10 pm. On weekends I *try* to sleep in... but I'm usually awake at 6 to temp and end up staying awake. Mr. Dragon stays up super late and sleeps in, so we get a bit of alone time, which is kinda nice.
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
No way. We have a super early riser 6 am is sleeping in for him! So if I don't go to bed by 10 I'm screwed!
pomelo / 5720 posts
Nope! I'm in bed by 9pm every night. We also have an early riser like @winniebee so I'm in bed shortly after he is.
pomegranate / 3383 posts
I agree with @sloaneandpuffy, embrace the lameness!!
One night DH and I were so exhausted we actually got into bed at 6:30. I think we watched Netflix or a movie on the computer but we did turn it off before the sun had set and it felt sooooo good to be in bed that early!
nectarine / 2127 posts
Never. I'm in bed most nights by 9 (even before getting pregnant) but I'm a morning person. I'm usually up by 6. I find it easier to knock out a couple of chores in the morning than after work.
