I always hear that working out will make you feel more energized, but I hardly every feel that.
J and I now have a routine every Wednesday morning - we drop off DH at work at 10:30, then head to the Y. I work out for an hour (45 min cardio, 15 min weights), then J and I go swimming for an hour. Come home, eat lunch and he goes down for a nap.
It's nap time and I'm probably as tired as he is!
I don't know if I'd have the energy to get up and workout right away in the morning - I guess it just works out best for this routine because then J gets play time in the child area and then swim time!
It is true! Getting us both changed before and after the pool with a toddler who is all over the place is a workout itself
