If you stay home, do you get a break when your SO gets home? As in, you get some "me" time? I can take some time to myself if I want, and sometimes will take a few minutes to sit and color or something but it's just nice to have another set of hands! I'll go and do laundry or something, not exactly fun but at least I get a little space.

I wish. DH gets home after LO goes to bed. And during the wait, that's when I'm making dinner, so my "me" time happens after I finish with chores during LO's naps.

Definitely when he comes home at a normal hour but he usually gets back at 9 pm or 1am.

Yup! It's a win win. DH gets to have some 1 on 1 time with DS and I get some free time after dinner to do chores, run errands or just have some quiet time to myself. I work but pick up DS at 3 so I have him from 3-5:30 and then DH has him from after dinner to bedtime around 7:30.
