We haven't really been on any night dates in a long time, but I try to make more of an effort on our occasional day dates. If I were actually dating now though, I"d definitely make more of an effort - so I should probably up my game!

Well our one date night since lo was born as to a restaurant with a dress code- yes. Otherwise I probably dress a bit bigger than usual but not by much. On the other hand, we frequently go hiking or to the beach for dates so it's not exactly a great time to pull out a dress and heels!

Oh yeah! I love having a reason to get dressed up and as a SAHM that was formerly a nanny, the only reason I ever have to get dressed is a date with my guy! I love it and he appreciates the effort, even though he often says something like "you realize we're just going to chili's..." lol

Depends what kind of date I guess. We like to eat at casual places so normally it wouldn't make sense to dress up!

Not really, where we live is a really casual farming community. I might wear eyeliner.

I make a point to dress up for dinner, even if it means pizza with my husband and son at the place down the road.
I will change into dark trouser jeans, put on ballet flats (weather permitting) and a nicer top (I usually have on a long sleeved tee and a fleece vest on the weekends).

No, but DH doesn't like to dress up. We also don't tend to go anywhere too dressy.
@looch: Your outfit sounds lovely. I hope to get back to that after the baby gets older. Right now its t shirt because he still drools and spits up and a ponytail so he won't pull my hair.

I stay in my work clothes, freshen up my makeup (aka remove smudges from under eyes and repowder nose) and, for a really special occasion, freshen up my hair. Date nights are always on weeknights. For something really special on the weekend I would dress up, yes.

We've never been on a date night. 
But on the two occasions we have gotten out together since E was born I absolutely dressed up, even though one was a trip to the local pub to watch football (yawn) and one was a trip to a grotty pub to watch a friend's band.

More so than usual, but not anything fancy. I'm a housewife, so I'm usually in really casual clothes most of the time, and no makeup. I make an effort to at least look nicer for going out with DH. If we plan to go somewhere that's nicer, I make more of an effort. Actually, I'm looking forward to getting back into my maternity clothes soon, because I have some nicer ones than my regular clothes!

I definitely try to put out a little more effort when we are doing something special. We went to a nice dinner last month and I put on some sassy heels that I wouldn't normally wear. I think he appreciated it

Yes, even if it's just to the cinema - I try to make an effort with hair, makeup and clothes.

It depends on what we're doing. If it's just a casual dinner then I just wear whatever I fee like. I wear makeup every day and I never leave the house in workout type clothes. But if we're going somewhere nicer, if it's a special occassion, has been planned for a while or if we have reservations somewhere nice on vacation then yes, I do dress up.

I try to but I'm so unhappy with my pp body I find it hard. I don't want to buy nice clothes in my new larger size...which means I don't have any nice clothes that fit
