Do you get snarky when people tell you how to raise your baby?
My in laws are full of opinions: she needs socks, she should always be covered In a blanket, she shouldn't wear fleece jammies, and on and on and on.
What do you say/how do you handle it?

Yeah...with my MIL, I'm always telling her, "well, I do it this way" and stay firm. Luckily, DH is almost always in my corner and can back me up when my MIL is ridiculous.

I do with some people, but not my inlaws - I'm stuck with them for life so I do my best to always keep things peaceful. I just say "ok, thanks!" and let the advice go in one ear and out the other. Then I bitch to my husband later lol

I have had a few moments where I snapped back at my ILs for commenting on LO. When he was small, he was pretty fussy and had reflux. FIL thought we should jut let him cry because he was "so colicky". He also once told me to get some sleep because I looked tired. I wanted to scream. Lol

No, I'm a peace-keeper by nature so I end up smiling and nodding and then venting later.
There are a couple of things that I do pitch a fit about when someone chimes in and I just firmly explain that I do it this way and shut them down. But I pick my hills to die on!

No. I feel like most of the time people have good intentions. It is annoying for sure, but I usually let it roll off my shoulders and go about my day.

No, I'm a weirdo and like hearing why people think the way they do. So I ask them questions about what they are saying. They probably give up after a bit because they don't like being questioned!

No, I'm too nice 
my in-laws are pretty respectful and non-intrusive, so no problems there. But with most people, I just ignore and vent later.
Now, if it's my family, I have no problem being a bit snarky because I feel comfortable enough letting them know how I feel.

My advice: Get snarky! I didn't...and one day I exploded! It was not the best way to handle things.
ETA: I guess I mean, be open/assertive!

When my mom tries to tell me something, I do snap, my husband snaps at MIL sometimes but that is when he tells her she is doing something a way he doesn't like

I sometimes snap at my MIL or mom, but usually I do the vague nodding thing and go about exactly as I was.

@OpinionsLikeKittens: they are too hot of a material and didn't have them fifty years ago so grandma has never used them before and thus doesn't like them.

I really want to say "I have three degrees I'm pretty sure I can figure out how my child should be dressed." But instead I just smile and nod and say "oh yes that fleece material is too hot" (while sarcastically thinking, how silly of us to think fleece was ok in Michigan in Winter.)

In my mind, yes. On the outside? I just smile and let it go in one ear and out the other. They (whoever it is that is budding in) can talk until their blue in the face for all I care.
Luckily, I don't hear it too often if at all.
