I get irritated some times, but these days it's pretty rare that I'll get upset over a thread!

When I was in my early 20s, I used to get so riled up at people on the internet lol. Nowadays I'm much more relaxed and am able to log off and not have it affect my day.

Hahaha I don't know WHAT you could be talking about!
Occasionally I do I guess -- rarely. But it wears off
honeydew / 7444 posts
LOL, are you trying to start something on this thread?
Sometimes i do. Lately i just refrain from responding because i can't be bothered.
coconut / 8681 posts
Yepp but I usually see that as a sign that I probably shouldn't respond to it. It's a wakeup call for me to put down my phone and do something productive in my real life haha.

I have once or twice, but then I tend to remember that it's always better to step back and take a deep breath. Too much drama everywhere...HB has to be my sanity, it can't cause the drama!
wonderful pea / 17279 posts
Lol, only once and it wasn't necessarily the thread topic or poster. There are a couple posters I seem to always ruffle their feathers, but instead of getting upset I chalk it up to a difference of opinion/ perspective.
pineapple / 12234 posts
Not usually...but lately I get a little more irritated, I think it's just the pregnancy hormones though. I try not to respond!
coconut / 8854 posts
Nope, if there's something I don't agree with I normally just ignore it and keep my thoughts to myself!
GOLD / coconut / 8266 posts
Only once and I was surprised by my reaction. I usually just shake my head and head to another thread.
pomelo / 5509 posts
Nope, but sometimes I get annoyed/roll my eyes when people insist on continuing to argue a point that's been beaten to death, and seem to do it just to provoke people or be contrary.
bananas / 9357 posts
I definitely roll my eyes and get a little irritated at some threads. Especially when people seem to make comments that seem like they're just trying to start something or have no useful input to the OP.
bananas / 9628 posts
Occasionally. Usually topics that get under my skin include: limiting reproductive rights, limitations on rights of same sex couples, guns, and racial discrimination. I can gets pretty worked up about those, but most people have pretty strong feelings on those topics

@mrs. bird:
@grizz: call me shallow, but I live for firstworldproblems...makes me thank my lucky stars that I am me in this lifetime in this place.

Not for real. I used to, but not anymore. I heard an extremely not PC saying about fighting on the internet once (that is kind of offensive and I won't repeat), and it put it into perspective for me.
blogger / nectarine / 2010 posts
No, I don't. I don't get worked up about much in general.
pineapple / 12802 posts
Nope. I have spent too many years on Internet forums. Usually forums with lots of boys and they are so much different than forums with girls. You learn pretty quickly not to take things too seriously.
I'm incredibly sarcastic and that follow through with my internet posting, which can sometimes be bad. Hahaha oops!
GOLD / wonderful olive / 19030 posts
There were a couple threads this weekend I stayed clear of because the tension seemed high and even though I had an opinion I didn't want to be "attacked" for it
Better to stear clear and avoid drama in my mind.

Not at all.
Sometimes I roll my eyes along with @grizz:
My sarcasm/humour doesn't always translate to all readers... so I sometimes write & delete before submitting as to not offend people on these boards.
grapefruit / 4770 posts
Not really. Sometimes I would get worked up on comparison threads of who has the worse/better situation. I really try not to post on threads that seem like a heated moral debate. Plus, it's the internet, and you really don't know anyone's real life situation.
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: This! Any problems in my life are first-world. Of course I am extremely lucky to have these kinds versus something that could be much worse, but I still sometimes struggle with dealing with my problems even if they are first-world (i.e I can't afford to buy a house in DC! Boo hoo! At least I have a roof, food, and clean clothes on my back. Doesn't stop me from still being grumpy about it!)

Guilty, although it's generally only when I feel like people are just taking their opinion about something that doesn't really affect them wayyyy too seriously and get all aggressive about it.
But if I can feel myself getting into argument mode I'll just stop reading the responses so I don't get sucked in.

@.twist.: haha, you have to promise you won't get offended and hate me forever after.

@loveisstrange: Please wall me the quote also!!! Please!!

@loveisstrange: haha honestly, it takes so much to offend me. I promise.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@grizz: OMG! I don't even know the "even if you win" quote! Wall me. Right meow!!!
