God children and their siblings yes, and only if we plan to see them. I sent gifts one year and did not receive a thank you.

I really liked giving gifts to my BFF's kids but I had to stop and just limit it to family now. I had to stop because it got to be too much of a burden on my budget and I don't like feeling stressed out. If it's in your budget though, the kids would be so happy to get a gift. I would still get a gift for those with only 1 or 2 LO but 3 of my dearest friends have 4 kids each. I think a gift basket to the family is great if you are seeing them right before the holidays.

I wanted to add that what I do is give a gift to the mom (my friends) instead of the LO. Moms need to feel special too!

Yup, I give gifts to pretty much all the babies/kids we know, family or friends. It depends how close we are to them, but gifts can be small or a bit more generous sometimes. For an example of a small gift, I just got a few little things from Target and placed them all in a gift bag: holiday coloring book set with crayons & stickers, a holiday straw cup, and toddler socks. Toys aren't too expensive either. I got some Melissa & Doug puzzles and toys for kids less than $10 at Target and Amazon.

I would only if you give to the parents regularly. Although, I think the baked goods are good enough for the whole family.

We exchange books - no toys!

I only have one close friend with a kid, and I am buying him something. I ordered some cute bibs from Etsy for him.
