When I'm stressed, I do. Lately I've been having to wear my mouthguard to bed so I don't wake up with a toothache/headache. I once broke a tooth because I ground my teeth every night!!

Yes, at night. I have a night guard but I haven't worn it since before T was born (you know, night feedings with a night guard were a little annoying).

Yep. I gnawed thru one mouth guard and now on my second. I'm not so much a grinder as a clencher.

big time. one time i woke myself up and was thoroughly shocked at how much pressure i was putting on my teeth. a few years ago i got invisalign and now wear the retainer, which help protect my teeth. of course it came a couple of decades late, i really should have been fitted for a mouthguard (i tried the ones from the drugstore and found them uncomfortable and drooly) ages ago.

Yep, I'm a clencher/grinder and wear a mouthguard at night. I used to get horrible headaches and neck pains before I realized and got the mouthguard.

i lock my jaw =( sometimes the muscle along the side of my mouth gets so tight i can't get my toothbrush to the outside of my very back teeth. on dr oz he had ppl use their fingers to pull at the corners of their mouths to relieve tension in their jaw, OMG! it feels awesome!

I clench my teeth, but the hubby grinds his teeth like crazy!! It actually woke me up a few times at night when we first lived together.

I never never thought I was a teeth grinder, but one time my room mate told me she heard me grinding my teeth, and I was shocked! My dentist has never said anything to me though, so it must just be occasional.

Yes DH sometimes wakes me up because I am grinding my teeth so hard/loudly. I really have to call my dentist to deal with this issue

I so sad! I grind my teeth as well, though I don't notice if I do that anymore or not. A dentist brought up the possibility years ago but I ignored it because I didn't notice it myself. Then, just last year, I noticed that I would wake up to grittiness in the morning, and I attributed that to my teeth grinding away! I was freaked out and ordered a mouthguard off of Amazon. Unfortunately, I didn't adjust the size correctly and I ended up messing up my bite, so that now, only the last set of teeth on both sides touch. So, if I do grind, only those two sets of teeth grind anyway. It's sad because I do notice that the teeth are wearing down. The dentist recommended removing them since they are my wisdom teeth, but I want to keep them because they totally fit in my mouth, and since I'm missing teeth, I can't afford to have less! *Sigh*

I am more of a clencher than grinder and wear a nightguard every night.

Yes! Custom mouth guard is a must for me from the dentist. Knock on wood no cavities since I started using it.
