I do, particularly at work. I always email people first and hate when they don't get back to me because it means I have to call them! I think I'm always nervous I'll sound stupid or misspeak, and sometimes I have to write myself a little script to get myself through the beginning of the call!
I would suck as a telemarketer!

yes! I hate talking on the phone to anyone! and I really hate it when I text someone a simple question, and they call me! ugh. I texted you for a reason lol

I prefer email but I don't totally hate the phone. What I do hate is voicemail. With a passion.

I work in customer service so I have a headset on 8hrs a day so yes I hate talking on the phone if I don't have to.

I hate it in general. I don't know why, but I don't love calling anyone, even my friends. I'd rather text, email or make a date to meet up in person. I've gotten better about it now that I have SYNC in my car and can talk hands free while driving without an earbud, etc.

I hate the phone too! But sometimes it's just easier, so I do pick it up and call people often. I worked as a telemarketer in college - it was miserable!

When I have t call someone, I usually hope and pray I get their voicemail!

I am definitely not a phone person - I would much rather email or text someone. There's only a handful of people that I even have phone conversations with.

I'm not a phone person socially. Like, at all. But if it's a work call, I don't really mind....because there's a purpose to the call, you know? I'm calling for information or to let someone know something.
Whereas with personal calls, there are awkward pauses and no real point, and they can drag on and on forever....

Yes! I am sooooo not a phone person..This isn't even limited to work, I hate talking on the phone in general...That is probably 90% of the reason I don't keep in touch with old friends!

YES! Most of my work phone calls require me to look things up in files or in the computer system so I often avoid the phone and call back if they tell me what they want. I'm a recruiting coordinator in HR so people get my number at job fairs and I often get 'stalkers'a thank goodness I have a caller ID at work!

@ladyfingers: when I worked and had a difficult phone call, I'd totally write up a script too! 
or I would wait and return a call when I knew the person might not be available so I could leave a VM and ask them to just email or msg me back,,,

@MamaMoose: I hate voice mail too!! I sometimes get distracted while leaving a voice message and realize i repeated the same thing over and over again. Then i realize that the person's voice mail doesn't have the option to delete the recorded message. Ahh!

I don't hate it, but I think there's a time for a phone call and a time for an email in work situations and it irks me when people don't seem to be able to distinguish the two. I need a lot of things in writing, so when I ask a broker to confirm things in an email and they call me back to confirm instead of replying to my email I get frustrated.

I hate work and social phone calls. I'd rather email I'm just not a chatter. Thankfully my work has changed so most of the time I get emails and have very few phone calls. I used to have to take technical calls for our help desk and dreaded the days I was scheduled! I was so nervous about getting a difficult question.

@MamaMoose: Same. I *rarely* listen to my personal voicemail (I will for work).
@ladyfingers: Hahaha - I thought I was the only one who typed out a little script before calls! I do it mostly for important calls so that I don't forget anything, or if I am trying to maneuver a conversation (like to try to settle a case).
