I still buy CDs if it's an artist I REALLY REALLY like because it just sounds so much better than streaming music. However, that is rare because you can listen to just about anything free online so why spend the money. I think it is really sad for the music industry, though. I think it's a special experience to wait for the CD, read the liner notes, etc. I don't think it's a good thing that everything is instant gratification nowadays. Our children will never know the "joys" of sitting by the radio all day waiting for the DJ to play the song that you requested and then running over to press the record button on your tape player. Haha! Or maybe that was just me ....

I have a CD player in my car and still buy CDs. I have an ipod, but I almost never use it. I like CDs.

We still have some CD's, but we use the computer or TV (we have Apple TV, so we can get our music off our computer onto it)most of the time. And the ipod in the car, although we will pop in the occasional CD.

I only have CDs. I don't understand or trust the online music thing. I feel like I'd lose all my music, even with backup.

I did however finally convince my hubby to get rid of his big box of CDs, since unlike me he doesn't have a fear of the online music world.

We have a ginormous collection of CD's. We have to move them soon because they are in an entertainment center that needs to go before the baby comes. I use them when I'm upstairs and don't have a computer handy. We have a stereo upstairs that has a cd player and tape player (ha). Downstairs we do have a cd changer still and we use that mostly for Christmas music or specialty cd's we may buy. I also use it for books on cd when my husband isn't around.

I do have CDs but dont have a dedicated CD player, I use either my laptop or car stereo to play them. I was plannig to buy a a little CD player to play CDs for the baby...

My husband has a huge collection of CDs. Like a whole wall full of them. I have about 20 CDs. I do prefer to buy the whole album if I like the artist. If I only like one or two songs, I buy the mp3 instead. I do like knowing that if something were to happen to my computer, that I have a backup copy of the CD.

I still buy CDs to listen to in my car. I don't have a CD player in the house but I wish I did! I would still play CDs. All my music are mp3s on my computer.

I listen to CDs in the car! But that's about it, lol. We don't have a CD player (other than a computer) in our actual house. We do have multiple iPod docks though...

We have our CD's still and a CD player, but everything is ripped to our computers, so unless we're going on a road trip (and forgot to charge the mp3 player), we don't usually use them.

We have hundreds of CDs. We're both pack rats and can't part with anything and Mr. Marbles is also a freelance music writer so he still gets sen ton of CDs to review. I like listening to CDs all the way through. It's how I discover new songs I like!

@mrbee: LOL. I definitely don't think he's cool when we're almost done unpacking the house but still have SIX boxes of CDs to go through. I am ready to heave it all out the window.

Our cars have CD players and some CDs. And a car that was just gifted to us has a tape player!
