We have a half wall in the kitchen. The other side is the stairs to the basement. I was thinking of painting it with chalkboard paint and then magnetic paint. I figure she can't use magnets on the fridge since it is stainless. So it could be her art center for when we are in the kitchen cooking. Maybe it will entertain her for at least 10 mins, one day anyway.
Do you have one? Any tips?

we painted a small section, like a 3' x 3' square, of the playroom/office with chalkboard paint. I was going to do a whole wall, but then decided against it. LO is a little too young for it now (14 months) but I figure when she is older it will be fun for her to draw on it. Right now she is mainly interested in putting the chalk in her mouth

I don't have one in my house but I have been thinking of making this. http://jenloveskev.com/2012/03/01/diy-make-your-own-chalkboard/ . It would work better in my house and can be moved around. If you end up doing your project, I would love to see pics!

I did DIY chalkboard paint on the inside of our pantry. My tip is to not do DIY chalkboard paint 
It works okay but you can only use white chalk with it (colored stains!) and also it is a little grainy and it doesn't wipe off as easily as a real chalkboard, you sort of have to wash it off.

No, I wouldn't paint a wall with chalkboard paint, especially because I have no experience in how to cover it up when we wouldn't want it any more.
