I have a bamboo plant that has been impossible to kill. Otherwise, everything else dies so I don't bother.

I always kill everything.

My sister is going to give me an aloe vera plant though and she said it's super easy to keep alive. She has a dark house and her plant is flourishing.

I've killed every plant I was ever given.

My mother in law is a gardener, so she's always giving me hanging baskets and stuff. I can't keep them alive no matter how hard I try.

Not one. We had a couple but our condo doesn't get enough light, so they always die. Even tried ones that require low light, and I still kill them.

We have a hanging fern we named Henry. He's lucky if I remember to water him once a week, if that. He's the only plant I've ever managed to keep alive...and just barely.

Zero. We have lots of plants outside, but none inside.

None. I'm a plant killer.

I used to not be so great with plants, but have managed to keep some alive recently. A key lime and meyer lemon tree in the sunroom (I water them when the leaves start to look a little droopy and have pruned them once or twice), a couple orchids throughout the home, and some olive trees in the foyer. To my surprise, the orchids and citrus trees rebloomed! I'm looking forward to having some meyer lemons next spring!

I have lots outside on the porch but about 5 or 6 in the house. I have a few orchids and the rest are all easy plants that I don't pay too much attention to. I have I big urn with ivy in it (ivy is indestructible) and I like to make little clippings and put them in hanging vases around the house for a little extra green.

Ugh I have such a black thumb. I love other people's houses filled with plants, it always looks so nice and homey. But I suck and figuring out which plants to get, then actually taking care of them. I want to be better, but anything we get will have to be hanging and out of the reach of the cat because he eats EVERYTHING. And even if we get non-poisonous plants, he throws up lol (we got cat grass and he ate so much he puked).

I love plants! I have a christmas cactus that I received as a hospital gift several years ago, another cactus, a little succulent, an african violet, and then two different ferns I just bought, one for the nursery. I water them.. when I think of it.. probably every 3 days or so?

I just recently killed our last plant but I want to get another one. I found an awesome website that I am trying to do up for you. They sell some great plants (well, they claim they are great anyways).

We have two potted floor plants (water them 1 to 2x a week) and fresh flowers when I pick them up at the grocery store sometimes.

@Mrs. Tricycle: @Grace: I have that plant...my mom gave it to me and I haven't killed it yet (2 years!)

I has to move it from our first floor to our second floor bc one day I saw LO chewing on something and she has taken a bite out of the plant...I was able to get the tiny bit of leaf out of her mouth but I still called poison control...they said it was harmless in small amounts...but for a minute I was so scared!

My DH takes care of the greenery around here. I've realized a long time ago that I did not inherit my mother's green thumb.

I do have some hydoponic basil growing right now. I bought it last week... so from my calculations it will be alive for about the next 10 days, if its lucky.
