What kind do you have? When did your LO start noticing it, and does LO like it?
We currently don't... my MIL has this random superstition that a mobile above the crib will make a baby cross eyed. Oook...But MY mom wants to buy LO a mobile... battle of the grandmas, ha! 
I kinda want to get one as well. I've noticed I can leave LO to hang out in the crib for a few mins as I prep his bottle, use the bathroom, etc, without him freaking out, so I think maybe he'd like something to look at!

I'm currently scrolling through Etsy for felt mobiles. Sooo many cute options. LO is due in April.
I've never heard anyone say that having a mobile can make a baby go cross-eyed. Sounds kinda crazy, if you ask me. I say go for it!

We have a projector one. I took the mobile part off now and it projects onto the ceiling. DS2 has fallen asleep looking at it.

I have one. I made it. It's been above her crib since day 1 but she didn't sleep in her crib until she was 5.5 mo old. At that point she noticed it and she really likes it. She often tries to reach out and touch it when we pick her up out of the crib, and if she is being fussy when I set her down I spin it and she seems to like watching it. I actually don't think I have a pic of it somehow and LO is napping but I'll snap a pic this afternoon and post here

@Meridian: Yeah. I was telling some friends of ours last night how some people have so many crazy ideas about babies and pregnancy. It really makes you wonder how they come up with it all!

I like how it can be moved and used in different places.
Eta: we bought it for him when he was a month old and he loved it. I still turn it on for him sometimes at 8 months.

At 6 weeks, E started to LOOOOVE her mobile. She would lay there and stare at it for 30 min! So amazing. And she's not cross eyed lol

We didnt....I wanted his bed to be for sleeping only, so I never put him in there just to chill. I am considering hanging one above the changing table though!

We just took ours down recently now that lo can stand and pull on it. She liked it before though! So much so she wanted to grab it all the time

I had an adorable felt one that he could not care less about. Then a friend loaned us a giant plastic singing green fisher price monstrosity (http://www.amazon.com/Tiny-Love-Island-Dreams-Mobile/dp/B00198PQHY) and he LOVES it. Giggles and coos and putting it on never fails to calm him down.

We have a fancy etsy mobile but we put it over our changing table. Ds never paid attention to it until about 14 months but now he loves to look at it and touch it when he's done with a diaper changing.

I have the fisher price projection one and plan to use it once LO is actually in the crib. I haven't opened it tho; I figure if she has no issues falling asleep maybe I will return it.

we have one and I kind of wish I had saved the $$. I want LOs bed to be just for sleeping and he doesn't really hang out in there ever so he never notices it... It is super cute though

We got one when he moved into his cot at about 3 or 4 months, it was a horrible ugly thing that played music and did a light projection show. I hoped it would help him fall asleep and it certainly never did that. But it did used to buy us 20 minutes or so of extra sleep in the morning after he woke up. He got bored of it around 9 months. I'm not sure I'll bother next time round - but I will definitely get one over the changing table!
