Do you have a safe? What do you put inside?
We keep legal docs, copies of wills, etc. in ours.

No, if we have things that we need to be kept safe we take them to the safety deposit box at the bank.

We do. We keep cash and important documents in it. I also have some jewelry in it and some of my husband's private papers. We also have a safe deposit box at the bank for more important articles.

We have a fireproof (not sure how long it would last in a real fire) safe that holds some important documents... no cash or anything.

Yep, ours is a small one and we just have some important papers, passports and some sentimental things in there. It says it's fireproof and waterproof but it's only waterproof for a certain amount of time so, it's not perfect.

I do want to get one that's fire and water proof. We need a place for legal documents and jewelry.

Yep, we have a fireproof, waterproof safe. We keep a lot in there, all official documents, SSN card, Birth Cert, our car info titles and what not.....just some important stuff.....and a little extra cash

I don't have one but I have been meaning to get one. We have all of our documents and valuables in one location but it's not very secure.

We keep the same stuff as above in ours but I also keep an external hard drive full of pictures and videos. When it gets full (1TB) then I move it over to our safety deposit box. It would devastate me to lose their baby pictures, our wedding pictures and so forth. Also any other digital documents I want to preserve. I think I update the drive once a month.

Yes, we have a safe with legal documents, jewelry, emergency stash of cash and other misc. items. We keep it hidden and it is bolted into our floor/wall to avoid someone being able to easily take it (although I'm sure if someone was motivated they could still get it).

Nope, don't have one. My parents don't either, although they do have a safety deposit box at the bank. We should probably eventually get one of those...

We have just a little safe but it's not fireproof. I keep telling my husband we need to get one but we just never do!

We have one to keep important papers, some money(US dollars,money from other countries we go to regularly), passports, and jewelry.

I'm going to take this as a reminder to get my husband to buy a safe. Our documents are spread throughout the house, and we're horrible at keeping it all together. I have taken the step to scan as many of them as possible and make back ups so that I at least have a digital copy somewhere. Then there are the valuables that we keep in a very odd location, but they really do belong in a safe.

We have a small fireproof and waterproof safe that we keep important documents, foreign currency and jewelery in.
@amy: What a great idea to keep the drive with all your photos on it in there too, never crossed my mind to do this. We have a drive we back everything up to but it just sits in our living room. I am going to put it in our safe from now on!

No, but now I think we shoul have one! I really like the idea of scanning some of the documents we have, just to clear the clutter in our office nook.

Yes we do have a safe in our home & keep the same things you listed but it is small & I'd like a really large one so that I can also keep our photo albums in there! I have flash drives with computer stuff, pictures, etc in there & a few pictures.

Yup, we have a mack daddy huge safe that could fit a couple of grown humans in it. Aside from guns and ammo it also stores important documents, jewelry, extra keys, some cash, etc

we have a file cabinet that locks (i gotta look for the key).... not sure if it's fire safe. but no safe yet. i would like to get one to put all our important documents and jewelry and all. one day. not a priority yet.

Not at the moment. We have an old school safe deposit box at the bank. When we own our home, I plan to get a safe for our documents and jewelry.
