DH gave me one for Mother's Day! I think he intended it as a gag gift, but I've forced him to selfie with me with it many times, so the jokes on him.

No. First time I heard of them I really thought it was a joke.

Yep! I bought it sort of as a joke, but it's surprisingly fun and pretty useful when taking a picture of a large group of people. I took it to a bachelorette party last week and we had a lot of fun with it.

No, but my little sister has one and I just tried it out last night. It's awesome.... you can get so much of the background in the picture with you. It's perfect for sightseers or vacationers... you don't have to ask random strangers to take pictures of you. I wish we had one when we went to Mexico!

I actually think it's a great idea for traveling. I don't really know why people look down on it. I don't have one though.

I don't have one and probably won't get one in the future. I prefer to bug people to take my picture.
Normally we just set up a tripod (or sit the camera on top of a table) and use self timer.

No. I have really mocked them a lot since I first saw them during my travels to the states last year. I was bombarded by people selling them in Europe and I found they were annoying and got in the way. I nearly got hit by someone's. However, at a friend's BBQ a few weeks ago her sister whipped one out to take a picture of all 8 or so of us and I couldn't believe how well it worked. I see why people like them because they are so useful! It is just a shame they look so silly and get in the way so much when out in public...

No, but I don't get why people who use them get such flack. Seems kind of nice if you want to get a picture of everyone or you and the background. You can take as many of such photos as you want without having to constantly ask someone else to take a photo for you.

No, but I did experience my first one at a wedding just recently. One of the MC's was getting selfies with all the guests. HA.
