my windows aren't tinted, so i'm either going to get them tinted or buy a shade.

No, we do not. Our windows are kind of tinted, but not really dark, but we never really had an issue with sun in his face/eyes.

We had those shades on the windows but LO always played with them and made it so they weren't actually covering the sun..... so we took them down.

We have the same ones @Mrsbells does. They don't work 100% of the time, but they do the trick.

We have the roll down thingy too. My mom bought it for her even though we have tinted windows.

we have the suction window from eddie bauer that BLOWS.

We have the roll down one too. It's good but not perfect. Sometimes if we are taking a long trip and want M to nap in the car we'll roll one of DH's dark t-shirts into the window. Works for us.
