Yup! We like waffles better than pancakes so we use it a lot. I think it is a cuisinart, but I'm not certain.

Yes, love our waffle maker - I think its Hamilton Beach
You can eat it as a big waffle or break it apart into waffle sticks which my kids prefer

Yup! We have a waring pro. Been using it for 4 years now, no complaints.

And a flip one like this:

Yes, I love waffles. I recently made hash browns in my waffle maker - omg, game changer!! I'm not sure of the brand, though.

We received this one as a wedding gift:

We have only used it once or twice though. I want to get rid of it and get something simpler/easier to store like this:

We have a cheapo one, I think proctor silex? We use it maybe once a month or so, but for $25 or so I think it's worth it! It's fun to do every once in awhile and we have the space to store it.
@yoursilverlining: I will have to try hash browns--that sounds good! How do you do it?

we have the hamilton beach one that makes waffles that break into sticks. I got it at target, I remember it was on sale and Target had a coupon for Hamilton beach appliances so it was super inexpensive!

Had mine since I was like ten years old. It's a workhorse. Not fancy but super reliable!

Nope, but I love making waffles when possible when we're on vacation.

@Imabee: It is SO EASY and they come out well – cooked through and really crunchy on both sides. You can coat your waffle maker with butter or left over bacon grease too, to give them more flavor, but you don’t need to.
Just prepare your potatoes like usual (shred, wring out all the water, add S&P like you usually do for hash browns) and then just pile them into the waffle maker and close it. For mine, I needed to cook them about 7 minutes, but I’m sure that varies. You’ll see when they are ready by peeking in – when they are all crispy and golden, just take them out!

I found one in our basement the other day that I didn't know we had! It's an Oster!

Big square Cuisinart one that we received as a wedding present. Love it! We had a smaller round one before but like this one much better.

Does anyone make waffle makers that aren't Belgian waffles anymore? My mom has an oooold waffle maker from the 70's and it's square and doesn't make super thick waffles like Belgian waffles. I want one of those!

@Anagram: I love the thin waffles they make at Waffle House!
eggplant / 11716 posts
@chopsuey: This one has mixed reviews, but it looks like thinner waffles! I might actually order this. http://www.amazon.com/gp/huc/view.html?ie=UTF8&newItems=C2P7997AYLGD7S%2C1
And they have some open box ones for only $28

Yes, we do. It's just the Cuisinart Belgian waffle maker, nothing fancy! But it works for us. We make waffles every weekend.

We had an all-clad one that we got at the williams-sonoma outlet, but it fell off a high shelf and met an untimely end. So we bought a cheapo one from amazon, it is the proctor silex morning baker. it gets the job done - nice thick belgian waffles.

We have a Cuisinart. Last weekend I made cornbread waffles in it and topped them with pulled pork and coleslaw!

DH wanted one so I got a Presto Flipside as one of his Christmas presents along with Golden Malted waffle mix. He's been experimenting adding different fruits to the batter and it's so yum!

I'm not sure if this is the exact one we have, but it looks just like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000TYBWIG/ref=s9_simh_gw_p79_d0_i5?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=1M9QV5EWX1G7MG2V4XMM&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=1970559082&pf_rd_i=desktop
It's great, because it locks in its upright position. I store it like that, so it takes up very little room.

Yes, it's Cuisinart. A round one--I hate it though, if I accidentally pour too much batter and it spills out it gets stuck in the thing that decides how much heat you want.
pomelo / 5607 posts
I think so? But if so we've never actually used it. We went through a phase where we went to Dave and Busters for a lot of date nights, and we used our tickets for random kitchen appliances. So I think we got one then.

We have a Griddler, that has flat plates, ridged plates and waffle plates. I love it because i can make panini or waffles.
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@yoursilverlining: those were the most amazing things ever! I must try them this weekend
We have this cheap ass black and decker and it works great! I like waffles but they are a special occasion thing and it's time consuming to make a LOT of them. So if we have company, I make pancakes on a huge griddle
