We need a new one - I am thinking aren't all waffle makers the same?? Does anyone have one they love?

If you are looking for something more than just a waffle maker, look at the Griddler by Cusinart. It has flat, grill and waffle plates.

I've found that they aren't all the same...I have a black and decker and a cusinart and the cusinart is 100 times better! The black and decker heats unevenly

I second @looch: the Griddler is a bit more expensive but we've used it for paninis, quesadillas, pancakes. We got the waffle plates for $40 which is the same cost as a regular waffle maker. It works great!

I got a Waring Pro from Costco for $29.99 a few weeks ago and we have used it several times to perfect results. I even made mashed potato waffles with leftovers and they didn't stick at all. Just now looked and they're selling them for $99.99 other places so I guess you'd have to find a Costco.

@whodat: I second the Waring Pro. We've had ours for 2.5 years and use it almost every weekend and love it.
