Chalkboard walls seem fun but I'm not sure where to put them? Playroom?

I love them too! We're in an apartment so no. I like the idea of having them on a wall in a child's bedroom, or the closet door.
I do make my own chalkboard art by buying frames from the thrift store and painting the glass.

I have a small chalk board in my kitchen and it sits over our black trash can the amount of dust kills me... I'm switching in out for dry erase markers

I so excited to do this! I don't think we'll do a whole wall, but I like the idea of framing out an area on a wall that's low to the ground for LO. We'll probably do it in her room, since we don't have a playroom. And now you can get chalkboard paint in any color!
I'm waiting to do this until she's old enough to have a vague understanding that the chalkboard wall is the only wall she can color on, so we might be waiting a while...She's not even a year yet.

We have one in our finished basement, just the bottom half of one wall. The previous owners did it and we kept it.

I like the look of it in pictures, but I worry about chalk dust

We have a narrow wall that's the alcove for the fridge that we're going to paint for a chalkboard wall. Grocery list & such.
