I have problems with incontinence when I have to pee pretty regularly. I guess I should have done those kegel exercises!
Do you have any long-term postpartum issues?

twisted pelvis, lower back pain near my sacrum, and bladder issues (when doing jumping jacks or jumping rope). Blah.

I developed a gluten allergy... looks like it's not going away. I also have some occasional joint pain - like the joints in my fingers pulse and throb sometimes. And bladder isn't as strong - like Blackbird, I definitely need a pantyliner if I plan on doing any jumping jacks!

Yup I also should've done my kegels. My hips are also super messed up it causes a lot of upper leg pain.

Trapped nerve/nerve damage at the episiotomy site and some gnarly granulation tissue (that did go away on it's own by 9 months pp).

wrist and hand pain (but I am still nursing and praying it will go away when we wrap that up) .

Um, all of them haha! I have bladder issues and extreme soreness. I am so sore! My back is screwed up and my muscles in my arms are always over worked.

Yup, stress incontinence. And I did kegals. Like a champ. Three hours of pushing later and it's like I'd never even heard of them. I'm trying to get back into doing them regularly, cuz peeing when I cough is unacceptable. And I feel like it's getting worse as I get further from my pregnancy!

I did a 10k run the other day.. thank goodness I put in a little liner... They had a portapotty on the route that was lucky for me. I'm trying to do kegels more often..

I'm only 8 weeks PP but I still have pain in my spine at my epidural site. I didn't have this with #1 and am so worried this is going to last forever. I will be talking to my dr about it at my next appt. I also have hip slips but I had that last time too and it got better with time.

@Mrs. Bee: Ugh, same issue! Especially when I'm sick. If I cough or sneeze, I wet myself, so I'm constantly going to the bathroom when I'm sick to make sure my bladder is empty!!

Pain at my incision site and pain in the area if I've been working hard that day (long walks, work outs, standing a lot).
nectarine / 2527 posts
Almost 11 weeks pp and still get light headed/ tension in my head/neck and still having tailbone pain
wonderful grape / 20453 posts
@littlebug, I pushed for 2.5 hours, i wonder if there's a correlation to that b/c the baby is stretching things out more when they don't come out quicker?! No idea.

Slight PPA, permanently expanded rib cage and numbness from nerve damage around my ribs, some cosmetic issues down there.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
incontinence when I laugh or cough or lift something heavy... gahh. Lots of stretch mark damage that has definitely faded in color (to white) but I don't think it'll ever be even close to smooth ever again. But I'm fine with it.

@blackbird: That's my theory. I mean, it makes sense, when you think about it. At least it does to me.

Some minor bladder issues. I have morning sickness with #2 right now and I peed my pants when I was throwing up yesterday. I felt like both kids were getting me at once!

@blackbird: http://www.babymed.com/postpartum/postpartum-urinary-incontinence "...during the pushing stage of a vaginal delivery, the pelvic-floor muscles are damaged causing the bladder and bladder neck to drop, which in turn makes it harder to retain urine postpartum."

Just numbness around my section scar...and sometimes it twinges. And I've had more sciatica pp than I did before LO, but maybe it's just coincidence!

Gallstones. Apparently, pregnancy really takes an axe to your digestive system. But it's fixable.
papaya / 10570 posts
I still have some significant anxiety going on, 9 months pp. I also pee when I sneeze.
pomegranate / 3113 posts
Flatulence...for some reason I have lots of gas and when it wants to come out, there's no controlling it. I've been lucky so far that it's mostly been at home, but it has the potential to be pretty embarrassing

I didn't know the hand/wrist pain was a normal postpartum thing! I just googled it since some pp mentioned it and apparently it's common, I thought it was just me...!

I may or may not have gallstones/gallbladder issues. in the process of test now.
pomegranate / 3601 posts
@blackbird: I have the same issue with incontinence and I not even pushed for 30 min.

I have a trapped nerve at my c-section incision site. It doesn't hurt unless I try to do really intense ab work and then it feels like I'm being jabbed with a fiery hot poker. My doctor said I could try getting some deep massage work done at the nerve site by a physical therapist, and if that doesn't work to consult with a pain management center. I can do light ab work without pain, so that's what I'll have to stick to

I developed varicose veins in my right leg at 30 weeks pregnant with my first. 3 years later and they still bother me off and on. I have been trying to wear thigh-high compression hose as much as possible with this pregnancy. Super attractive as you can imagine and I'm really not sure how I will survive the summer!

@Mrs. Bee: if it's any consolation, my doctor told me that kegels don't actually help all that much with incontinence because it's a damaged ligament that causes the long-term problems. she said that instead, squats are much more effective!
I have pelvic floor dysfunction, sciatica and I had migraines for the first year!
