LO isn't here yet but I could recite a few books from my childhood!

Moo baa la la la!

all through the hippo night, hippos play with great delight, but at the hippo break of day, the hippos all must go away.

I have a lot of books memorized, I have a great memory and we read her books a looot, especially now that we are reading the same books with the baby.

I have a list:

(Pretty pathetic, huh?!)

Sometimes when we're in the car and desperate to calm the girls we'll "read" one of them!

I think I can do most of the Sandra Boynton library by memory! Also several Olivia books, Madeline, Guess How Much I Love You, Mr. Brown Can Moo Can You, On the Night You Were Born, Goodnight Moon, Pete the Cat, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Are You My Mother, What the Ladybug Heard, I Want My Hat Back, Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed...actually, I'm pretty sure I can do every book we own. Except The Cat in the Hat - I always mess that one up.

@Mrs. Jacks: we do that too! It's saved us from having a crying baby on hiking trails multiple times

I'm quickly memorizing Llama Llama Misses Mama after we picked it up from the library last week.

@Mrs. Jacks: The whole family can recite it! We read it daily. I challenged myself to memorize The Grinch around Christmas time when I realized DD could recite the whole thing by herself!

"Oooo snuggle puppy of mine! Everything about you is especially fine!" Love this Sandra Boyton book and I think I've got it memorized after using it to cap off our nightly routine.

I have a couple dr. Seuss books memorized from my childhood!

Little Blue Truck and Little Blue Truck Leads the Way-my daughter loves these and sometimes we recite them in the car to make her happy.

@mrs.tricycle- we sing snuggle puppy all the time too. It's so catchy:)
