Aside from our 2 pups we have 2 turtles, a red eared slider and a yellow bellied cooter. Up until recently we also had Hedgies. Mr. Hedgie isn't ready to get anymore just yet. One day we will have more though! I can't wait to share them with our children! They are seriously amazing pets!

We don't have any pets now, but in the past I've had a llama, birds, sheep, a pony, horses, rabbits, an iguana, turtles, chickens, a mouse, and a snake.

I used to have guinea pigs. I loved those suckers. I might get some more one day! I'm trying to buy my parents a goat and it is not working...

@Mrs Hedgehog: did you come over from WB? I thought I remembered someone over there having hedgehogs and I thought it was the coolest thing!

@Bao: I did! And our the one we had the longest, and who was closest to our hearts was named Hoggle. I talked about him a lot over there. I had the same name over on WB too.

We have our pup and 2 baby turtles - a red earred slider and a pen cooter.
I've always loved animals so i've had a variety of pets growing up - Dogs, Kittens, bunnies, hampsters, fish tanks, hermit crabs, gerbils, guinea pigs. My younger brother has now blessed my parents with his pets - 2 snakes and a gecko.

We had parakeets growing up. I loved hearing them chirp and sing. I would like one now, but my husband is not a fan of this idea.

@Arden: I'm thinking you win this thread!
We just have a dog, but growing up I had hamsters and fish. Pretty standard little kid pets. I'm not planning on letting our kids have hamsters-- we had a mouse problem in my apartment and it's pretty much turned me off from any rodents as pets!

@Mrs Hedgehog: I was just coming here to confess that I'm obsessed with the idea of a hedgehog. We won't do it, but they are sooo cute!

@Bao: Yup. He was ornery though. We got him to guard our sheep and he did that well, but he was not happy when I tried to ride him (what can I say, I was eight and wanted to play oregon trail... lol).

Not now.
But I grew up with horses my whole life! Hope to get one or two sometime again in my life.
Also have had chickens and fish and hamsters and goats and turkeys. And salamanders that we got out of puddles in front of our house growing up.

I had horses as a teenager but alas being a grown up got in the way of riding, the darn things are so expensive!! I hope after our kids are in school I can start riding again, I miss it terribly.

@prettylizy and @rainbowsprinkles I know what you mean! I just sold my horse in November because life committments had taken away too much time and we since we are TTC I knew time for a horse would be even less! So we just have our 1 year old pup now, but I would love to get back into riding later in life, and maybe have our kid(s) involved too!
