I'm only 23 weeks and my LO is wearing me out! DH is going to be pretty MIA with work for the next few months.

Is she into jigsaw puzzles and/or building megabloks? Those have been huge for chewing up toddler time!

@GreekWife: lol. Good answer!
Yes, I time DD's TV watching to when I needed to take a quick 20 min nap. She doesn't play with toys.

Hmm. Coloring, play-dough, blocks...uhh I definitely turned on classic Disney movies because they were long enough so I could cuddle with DS and take a little nap + my excuse was that he needed to know who these characters are before we visit Disneyland
And sometimes I resorted to crazy kid shows on Netflix in my bedroom so I could sleep in while DS laid next to me. I felt bad about it but I was SO exhausted and rarely had any help during my pregnancy.

I let things go. When I was pregnant with my daughter I had three boys running around non stop. They even stopped napping while I was pregnant. In the evenings I just went to bed. I didn't worry about the bathrooms or kitchen or anything else. I knew I needed rest. They also watched some tv shows when I just needed to relax a bit

Omg, I put LO down for the night at 7:45 and then I dozed off in my bed and just woke up about 10 minutes ago....a glorious 4 hour nap! I'm still exhausted but I need to get LO's stuff ready for daycare.
Thanks for the tips!

This terrifies me! I get very severe migraines, they go crazy when I'm pregnant, so having a toddler around isn't going to be easy. LO doesn't watch tv yet so that isn't going to make things easy. We're trying to wait until she gets a little more independent before TTC for this reason.... but it will be many years until she's so independent that I can just sleep all day and I'm just not willing to wait that long

@mrbee: When did your kids show an interest in Megabloks? Do you think 1 is too young?

@autumnlove: not at all! Olive loves to build and she's 15 months. Maybe your LO will start a bit earlier?

I used to lock us in lo's room and would nap while she played. Made sure the room was baby proofed and that she had toys to play with.
