I've been sitting outside downtown and there are a million people with their phillies shirts on for spring training. We also have the bucs for pro football, usf for college football, and the lightening for hockey. I rarely actually go to any games though. I like going to the hockey games for Chanukah, they have latkas and kosher hot dogs and donuts and dancing!

Not really (sad face). We moved here from Baltimore where we had both the Orioles AND the Ravens! In Raleigh, there are the Carolina Hurricanes but we can't afford to go to those games and really don't have much interest at all.
We have minor league baseball here, though - the Durham Bulls and the Carolina Mudcats. We like going to those games. Cheap and fun entertainment!

Not anything Professional, but we have the Texas Longhorns that's practically a pro team around here. People go nuts! Including my hubby and I! We LOVE to go to football games. We try to go to one each year.
Edit: And the *one* item that I let myself buy for our future baby is a longhorn onesie, lol. My hubby approved.

YES. I live in a HUGE pro sports team. Die hard. We have NFL and NHL. I won't say though because it's one of the few small towns with pro teams.

We live in OC, so we have--
MLB: Angels and Dodgers (go Halos!)
NHL: Ducks and Kings
NBA: Lakers and Clippers -
Nothing pro is close...have to drive at least 2 hours for the Jags (NFL) and and 2 hours for the Magic (NBA), but the Gators are in our backyard. College football will always be bigger here than any pro team.

Anyone who doesn't know that Boston is a HUGE sports town can't be a sports fan!! I'm a DIEHARD Red Sox fan and we've been to many games at Fenway. can't wait to bring RJ to his first game. I'm also a Patriots fan, and Gillette Stadium is actually a 15 min drive from our house, but we've never been to a game-- tickets are just so crazy expensive. We've also been to several Celtics games-- I'm not that into basketball but Rob Sr. is a Celtics fan. We're both not particularly into hockey even though we both come from big hockey schools (BC and Cornell). Oh, we've also got all the college teams around us but neither of us follow college sports.
Poor Rob Sr... he's from Staten Island and he's a Mets and Jets fan... but it's best case because if he were Yankees/Giants we could NOT coexist. (Sorry @Mr. Bee haha!) He didn't start following basketball until he moved to Boston, and then the Celtics won the championship with the big 3 so now he's HUGE into the Celtics.

Another Bostonian here. I am mainly a Pats fan and been to a couple of games. I DO NOt recommend going to a game in Dec. It is so freakin cold and miserable but I love them!

We have one NHL team just minutes away. We also have an NFL team that may be moving here soon. Right now two NFL teams, two MLB teams, one MLS, and one NBA team are less than an hour drive away.

NHL: San Jose Sharks
MLS: EarthquakesWe don't go to many football, basketball or soccer games but we are huge baseball (Giants) and hockey fans. And if the A's ever move to San Jose we will definitely go to more of those games. We also go to a lot of minor league baseball games. So cheap and so much fun!

@sweetkate: I was basically going to write the exact same thing. We go to way more baseball and hockey games than any others (though the others are also way more expensive). DH is an A's fan, but, as my friends put it, I bleed black and orange. I love going to the local minor league games, too. So cheap and fun!
Also, if you count arena football, we have the Sabercats.

We are all about the Nebraska Cornhuskers over here, no pro-teams, but Nebraska fans are CRAZY when it comes to football games. The atmosphere in Lincoln on game days is a whole different world. I love it!

I'm also in the DFW metroplex with @Alivoo01. All of the teams she mentioned are within a 30 minute drive for me, some of them closer to 10 minutes.
We also have a fair amount of minor league and college teams in the immediate area. And yes, there is a soccer team too, FC Dallas.

I'm in Atlanta so we have the Braves and Hawks. We used to have a hockey team I guess. I'm a baseball junkie, so going to the Braves games is a must each summer. Our son will be getting a nice dose of games as soon as it is safe for him to be out in public settings.
I've never really been into NBA hoops. I am a college hoops fan though. Go Jayhawks!

I don't know if tokyo has any sports teams other than baseball. The only reason I know that is because we went to a baseball game once. When we lived in the states, we lived right by Wrigely Field. I loved my neighborhood but really hated game days because it would get sooo crowded and crazy.

@chopsuey119: Braves & Hawks and I dislike both. You're not missing much at those baseball games. Hubby is die hard braves fan, so I go to support him....and either read a book or study for a test hahahaha!

DH and I are huge hockey fans, and have season tickets to the St. Louis Blues (about 2 hours away.)
Also in St. Louis, we have the Rams football team, and the World Series Champions - the St. Louis Cardinals!
