If you and your DH have your own cars, do you have a car seat for each LO in both? I have two car seats in mine and DH has two car seats in his. We have to get LO2 a new car seat within the next few months though (I hate the ones she has) but that means we need to buy two of them. She goes in DH's car maybe 1-2 times per month so I cringe at having to buy a car seat that she will barely use.

We currently have a cheaper one for LO2 in his car and a nice one for LO1. I'm wondering if it makes more sense to use the other good car seat from DH's car in my car for LO2, and but two "cheaper" car seats for his car. However, car seats that are a pain to work with drive me insane so maybe splurging on the ones I love is worth it, no matter how much use it gets. Anyway, thoughts? What is your situation if you have car seats in both cars, types/use etc....
