@Smurfette: hahaha, I told him he could as long as he takes me out (and Xander) out for lunch on Saturday!

We're getting sushi take out--I'm so excited! I've been looking forward to take out for weeks!
@Adira: I'm envisioning a scene from the Big Bang Theory!
I hope you get something yummy regardless of FNM.

We went out last Friday to beat the V-Day rush, since our favorite place doesn't take reservations. It was delish!

@keiki_mama: hahaha, yes! I'm sure it's very much like that, except even more geeks involved!!!

@LovelyPlum: Hey, thanks! Cascademom is my birthday twin, if you see her around this week
I think I'd have gone early too if I were you! Cheaper and quieter!

My MIL is coming into town to babysit (a 3 hour drive!) and we're going to cine suites. Yum!

MIL is babysitting and we're going to a neighborhood steakhouse. Hey I'm pregnant and I need the iron and zinc!

No, I have a lot of food aversions right now so I'm not into restaurants lately (too many smells!) We will probably get takeout from a local Italian place.

No, we will probably get take out or I will make something. Too hard to plan with having morning sickness all the time and we don't have anyone close to babysit.

I think LO and I will get take out pizza. DH is out of the country so it is a good thing we don't celebrate the holiday!
nectarine / 2054 posts
No, but I think we'll pick up pancakes from a bakery/cafe that is having Pancake Month - their Valentine's Day flavor is chocolate chunk with raspberries - and let LO have some too!
We went there for the past few Valentine's Days, including the one two years ago that was the day before my BFP.

No dinner plans, but I might pick up some steaks or something today.
@Adira: Heh, sounds like something D would do...except he prefers to play it on the computer
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@lovehoneybee: When Hubs isn't at FNM, he's playing it on the computer!

We always cook something and stay in. I am planning on making arugula and butter gnocchi and lamb shanks with some vanilla cheesecake for dessert. DH has no clue though so hopefully he will be pleasantly surprised.

I'm planning to make chili and watch House of Cards with DH on netflix - I'm excited! we're at a place right now where we need relaxation far more than romance.

Yes, my lovely husband made reservations for us a highly rated by Yelp Italian restaurant. Apparently, the restaurant has a multi - course VDAY menu every year. Too bad I will likely be too tired to enjoy the food as the reservation is for 9:15 pm. I'I'm sleepy just thinking about that.

Yep. We're taking F to get some burgers at a local In-N-Out type place.

DH and I always make Breakfast for Supper for Vday. Bacon quiche, hashbrown casserole, cinnamon buns, fruit cup and orange smoothies. mmmmmmmmm!!
nectarine / 2220 posts
I assume not. We've never been big on Valentine's day, and unless DH has arranged for a sitter without me knowing... we're not going anywhere.

No, I'm making pierogis, we'll rent a movie and open a bottle of wine.
We avoid going out on V-day at all costs.

we try to come up with something low-key on Valentine's Day if we do anything at all. Friday we are going to my barre studio with another couple (it's bring your husband night!) and then getting drinks afterward

Hubby is picking up take-out. At 38+5 I was not keen to brave the crowds (and not going to lie, was kind of hopeful that we'd have the baby already
) so home it is!
