After getting pregnant with my 2nd, I've noticed that I've produced eye floaters! I have two of them and they're so annoying! I asked my opthamologist about them and he said some people just produce them as they age. 
Do you have any of those annoying eye floaters?

YES! I have a couple really big ones that are so annoying My optometrist wasn't concerned and also said it's a normal part of aging eyes (aigoo)

@BoogieBea: It's these little floaters that appear when you're looking at something (usually a white screen or bright sky). They look like tiny pieces of dust floating in the sky. If you don't know what I"m talking about, you probably don't have them (LUCKY!) because you would totally know if you had them. UGH!!! I hate them!

@banana: that does not sound pleasant. But my vision is blurry all the time now because I mostly wear glasses and the kids keep smudging the lenses. Is it something that can be fixed?

@BoogieBea: No, they can't be fixed. In extreme cases, they can do surgery but it's very rare and most docs won't do it because of the risks. It's just something that people have to deal with. It's especially annoying when I'm outside and I jump/freak out because I think it's a bug near my eye...but nope...it's just an eye floater. =\

@mrs. wagon: You are???? They suck huh?? I have TWO of them. One of them is a black speck, and one is a long clear line (like a dust speck). I hate them!

@banana: I TOTALLY do the whole "bug jump"!!! ALL THE TIME!!! I only have one in one eye, but it's a white circle. Sometimes it isn't there, then all of a sudden appears. Which made me think for a long time that it was just gunk in my eye moving around! But I think it depends where my eye is focusing on.

OMG, that is so weird. DH has been complaining about 'eye floaters' for a little while, and I'm like, I have no idea what you are talking about, just blink a few times. You mean these things are real!?!

I have some teeny tiny ones-- nothing that would make me jump thinking it was a bug. I've had them since I had Laski-- though I don't know that the two are in any way related, at all. I might have just noticed them since, where before I thought it was something in my contacts. They don't bother me that much, really.
If you have them and haven't seen an eye doctor about them, you definitely should-- they can be a sign of something bad (detached retina) although usually they are just floaters.

@Foodnerd81: I saw an opthamologist last month, hoping he had a cure for them. But nope, he said some people just get them. Apparently 50% of people get them by them time they turn 65. I guess I got a headstart.

@banana: i totally think they're bugs too. right now i have one that looks kinda spirly. it keeps floating to the left. grr.
