We've never had a family reunion. In my family everybody always makes a big effort to go to weddings and bar mitzvahs, so we usually see each other pretty regularly. Hubby's family has been trying to get a reunion together, but it hasn't worked out yet and I have a feeling we'll just have to wait until his cousin's bat mitzvah in a couple of years before everyone is together.

Never a big one but we have big family gatherings/dinners at Christmas and maybe New Years. I would LOVE to have a giant family reunion but everyone is scattered around the world that it would be hard to do!

Funny you should ask. My family is spread over the midwest. We have one every year. I have not been to it in 8 years. For my Birthday last week DH got me plane tickets back home so I can make this years which is in 2 weeks! I am so excited!!!

My dads side has had a couple family reunions that I remember but not in years...probably like 15 years! They do get together some at our family lake house & @ weddings but really not that often. It's a huge family & everyone is pretty spread out. I have never had a super close relationship with cousins or other relatives. DH's family sees each other ALL the time & I just love it! His moms family all live close to us & his dads family is a bit more spread out but we see them for holidays & a lot in the summertime. I am much closer to his extended family & I love how close they all are with each other.

We do, every year. Mostly people just sit in their own corners with familiar faces and a few of us make small talk. We don't see each other, otherwise. However, one time I went to a reunion and found out I was working with and eating lunch with a distant cousin everyday..but we didn't know it.
I try to go every year because I like getting to know my extended family. -
My FILs side of the family did one last year. They want to make it an annual thing, but I'm not a huge fan because of how far they would want it this year.
