I usually don't, but I have the arrangements from LO's party on display and I LOVE how they look and smell!
I love flowers! It's a shame they die so quickly..

I do every once in a while because I have an altar at home (Buddhist) and you're supposed to put flowers there. But they are so expensive and I am cheap. I have some there now, though, and they make me smile!

nope! they are so pretty but yeah, because they die out so quickly, not worth the cost! unless you grow your own and i don't have a green thumb.

Nope, but like you, I love the pop of fresh color and scent it adds to the atmosphere. I did think about growing fresh flowers so that I could have fresh cut flowers in my home, but I never got around to doing so. One day! Ha!

I don't usually. If I have any pretty cutting flowers in my yard, I'll try to bring those in before they die. I'm cheap, too though.

I usually get flowers once a month for our foyer table and by the kitchen window. Nothing fancy, just fresh cut $10 bunches from the local market. It's one of my lil things I do to destress

I used to occasionally pre-kids, but not any more. Our lobby downstairs has two gorgeous tall flower arrangements every week though so when I come home downstairs I get that "aw, pretty flowers!" sentiment anyway.

I love to have fresh flowers in the house. I usually have lots of mini vases spread all around plus a large arrangement on the entry table. My husband's grandmother taught me that if you change the water every day and trim a little off the stems they will last for weeks.

I try to always have flowers in the house. It's an expense, but it really makes me happy. And like @Leialou: said, if you trim and replace water you can make them last longer.

I try to at least every other week, as I think it makes a big difference in brightening a room! During my 2nd trimester I actually took a flower arranging class where we learned about how to care for flowers (read: make them last longer) and how to arrange them.
It was so helpful, and like @leialou and @olivaoblivia have said, if you're diligent and cut them and change the water every day, they really do last so much longer!

I don't ever buy them, so the only time I have them is when they are a gift or if I have some pretty flowers blooming outside I'll occasionally bring them in to put on the kitchen table.

No, not usually. I usually get flowers for just my birthday. I bet if I owned a home and had a flower garden, I probably would.

I buy them every so often, right now I have some two week old Irises that are still going strong. The trick is to trim the stems and change the water every couple days and my aunt (who is a florist) tipped me off to adding a dash of sprite to the water to keep them perky.
I also have several houseplants that help keep things homey when I don't have flowers and I have an herb pot garden in the kitchen.

I only do when my husband brings them for me. I love flower.... but I can't afford to keep them constantly.

only when dh has done something stupid and buys flowers to apologize!
grapefruit / 4187 posts
Only when DH buys them for me. I think they're a waste of money because they only last for a day or two and they're so expensive. Otherwise I would buy them all the time.

I love to have flowers around, and try to pick up bouquets on sale on a regular basis (though, those don’t last as long since they are usually a few days old already). The only bummer is my cat loves to get on the table and snap off the flower blooms from the stems, so I usually only get to enjoy them for a day or 2 before its just a bouquet of partially nibbled on stems.

I used to have a fresh arrangement at all times, but it's so much work and of course they're expensive. Whenever I come across some really nice looking silk flowers I try to make an arrangement. I found some white and pink fake peonies that look great, so that adorned our kitchen table for a while. They're in my cubicle at work now.

We often buy fresh flowers at the farmers' market, and DH brings me home a bouquet from time to time. So I'd say we have fresh flowers maybe 40% of the time. I love when we have flowers in our house!

i wish! i can't wait for spring to start. I usually have fresh lilacs for a couple of weeks.
